1. Egg protein is just like other protein and will make your hair hard if you leave it on too long.

2. Even lukewarm water is too warm if you're washing egg out of your hair...

oops... :look:

:lachen::lachen::lachen: Wait!

I'm not laughing at you, I'm laughing with you! I did a hair mask for someone and it had egg in it and I forgot and started rinsing out the chick with warm water. I laughed so hard I got weak and just sat in the floor. She didn't know what was going on head down in the sink until she saw what looked like, scrambled eggs.

Oh the lessons we learn! :rolleyes:

You cooked the egg in your hair?

As a child I put an egg in my hair and blowdried on high :lachen: I read somewhere that eggs are good for hair, so I washed with an egg, conditioned with an egg and tried to leave in an egg as a leave in conditioner.

Oh, you can laugh at me. :grin: I added the egg to my ORS mayo trying to do something extra good for my hair... I should have left well enough alone. ;)

Yup. I added egg to my ORS mayo and thought lukewarm water would be okay since the treatment was egg and something else. As I was finger combing my hair after rinsing it, I noticed stringy bits of white something... :look:

Same thing happened to me months ago. I had egg whites stuck in my hair. I rinsed with lukewarm water too. I had to shampoo and pick it out.

I tried the ORS Mayo by itself, and it left my hair a little hard. Then I added a little evoo later on, and it was just right.

:lachen: I've done something like this... YEEAAARS ago (pre lhcf) I was DC-ing my hair with ORS Hair Mayo.. and this was back back in the day when the jar said "for severly damaged hair add one egg to mixture and apply to hair"... soo me being lazy and thinking I was smart thought hmm i don't really feel like going under the dryer so maybe i'll just put the mixture in the microwave and apply the warm mixture on my head when i took it out of the microwave... it looked like an omlette =/ Oh our perils with the egg.

I usually add the ORS OO moisturizer and it works like a charm. :yep:

:lachen::lachen::lachen:and that's EXACTLY why I wound up with egg white bits in my hair tonight. ;)

with egg too, you have to be double sure you wash it out properly -- because if you dont........ you'll be somewhere and realize that the funky egg smell that has been following you around is YOU! it happened to me years ago and i have not tried it since.:wallbash::wallbash::blush:
made my hair feel and look great though.
