I was wondering how long are the longest ones (in inches) ? Will someone with hair between mid-back and waist length be able to start the curler at the root and not have any hair hanging out of the end?
TIA

egan, I have BSL and I'm afraid the Curlformer won't be long enough for MBL & WL if you start at the root. You'd definitely have to pull them down a bit so all the hair could fit inside. I had to slide mine down.

My hair is between mid back and waist and I had to pull it down to try and fit the ends. This wouldn't be that big of deal if i had a fresh relaxer, but I'm 4 months post and my roots NEED to be inside.
I'm sitting here with the rollers in. I pulled one out and it seems to be ok, but I think i may need to use a flat iron a little on the roots.
why don't they make these things longer?!
and then he asked her to call the other Sally's in the area so that we could find a clerk interested in making a sale. They are sold out everywhere! I really wanted to try them this weekend!
By the time I got to the front , the back was mostly dry, so I only sat under the tryer for about 10 maybe 12 minutes. Next time I have to use a setting lotion though, becasue the curls were too soft, they only lasted for about 2.5 days. But they did stretch my hair so I'm going to rock it for another day or two just to show off my length
.

kellylinn77, your hair looks really nice!
I went to Sally's to get some and they only had one pack on the shelf. I asked the sales clerk to check the back for me and she said "those are for white women, plus you have to buy the rod" and kept doing whatever she was going. My SO looked at me likeand then he asked her to call the other Sally's in the area so that we could find a clerk interested in making a sale. They are sold out everywhere! Anyone in the DMV know where I can find them?
clearly - they aint just for the White folks. Thanks! I will check it out. Please see post #52 and watch the video.
mine. I'll try to post pics tonight when I get home. I haven't worked out yet, so it could be a struggle. But so far everyone likes it, and I found that for touch-ups, if I put them in right when I wake up with some leave in and serum, they'll set by the time I'm ready to leave so I don't even have to use heat.

The only thing is b/c my hair is out, it seems a bit dryer than usual...and I'm alittle peeved at having to sleep on my face.![]()
!Thanks Caribgirl,Hey Kelly,
Quick question- How do you think the long and narrow rollers would work on your hair?
The back of my hair is APL right now with the shortest area in the crown (about neck length) and I so want to get these but not sure which set. I so love how yours turned out!
Thanks Caribgirl,
My hair is about 2 inches shy of APL and i used a combination of both. The back of my hair is shorter then my crown. I would suggest you get the long and narrow ones, espsecially if you want your roots to get straight. HTH
