I was wondering how long are the longest ones (in inches) ? Will someone with hair between mid-back and waist length be able to start the curler at the root and not have any hair hanging out of the end?

TIA

I just bought the salon kit. It came w/ 40 long and wide, 6 short and wide, and 1 hook. It cost me $59.99+ tax. I tested one out and I was surprised at how fast and easy it was. I'm going to wash my hair tonight and put them in.

thanks for posting this. I will purchase the salon kit for my sister

I always wanted to get results like that, I was going to get flexirods this weekend but got the curlformers instead. I am hoping to have great results too.

egan, I have BSL and I'm afraid the Curlformer won't be long enough for MBL & WL if you start at the root. You'd definitely have to pull them down a bit so all the hair could fit inside. I had to slide mine down.

My hair is between mid back and waist and I had to pull it down to try and fit the ends. This wouldn't be that big of deal if i had a fresh relaxer, but I'm 4 months post and my roots NEED to be inside. :lachen:

I'm sitting here with the rollers in. I pulled one out and it seems to be ok, but I think i may need to use a flat iron a little on the roots.

why don't they make these things longer?!

that's what i was thinking. I have short hair and the blue & green ones fit my length perfectly. And i was wondering what the ladies who have BSL or longer would do. their entire strands wouldn't possibly fit

Very nice Kellylin!!!!!....I love this style!. I am 10 weeks post and my hair looks well.... a hot mess to say the least. I am going to try these, hopefully it works so I can look decent for the rest of my stretch........Um Kelly how long did the style last?

Hi Atlien,
Thanks for the compliment. The style last typically as long as a braid out last. Depending how you care for it. I think it will look nice on you and blend very well with your NG.

kellylinn77, your hair looks really nice!

I went to Sally's to get some and they only had one pack on the shelf. I asked the sales clerk to check the back for me and she said "those are for white women, plus you have to buy the rod" and kept doing whatever she was going. My SO looked at me like :nono: and then he asked her to call the other Sally's in the area so that we could find a clerk interested in making a sale. They are sold out everywhere! I really wanted to try them this weekend!

Anyone in the DMV know where I can find them?

:lachen: By the time I got to the front , the back was mostly dry, so I only sat under the tryer for about 10 maybe 12 minutes. Next time I have to use a setting lotion though, becasue the curls were too soft, they only lasted for about 2.5 days. But they did stretch my hair so I'm going to rock it for another day or two just to show off my length:grin:.

The YOU TUBE QUEEN!!!

YOU are my hero girl friend......

Great Vid...............

:notworthy:creatures:yay:

WOW.......

That was not very nice.................. clearly - they aint just for the White folks.

I  mine. I'll try to post pics tonight when I get home. I haven't worked out yet, so it could be a struggle. But so far everyone likes it, and I found that for touch-ups, if I put them in right when I wake up with some leave in and serum, they'll set by the time I'm ready to leave so I don't even have to use heat.

The only thing is b/c my hair is out, it seems a bit dryer than usual...and I'm alittle peeved at having to sleep on my face. :look:

I'm wearing my set right now...and yes, my hair is dryer and i hate that. But what's worse is that some curls were distorted by me sleeping on them last nite.:perplexed. i tried so hard to not lay directly on them, but u know how wild sleepers are...so i'm gonna redo some of them 2nite

For some of the ladies with longer hair - I'm only APL, but my hair is longest at the crown and I found that my ends stuck out. I started them a little lower and found that if you grasp the curlformer at the top/root and then straighten it out with your fingers and let it *boing* back- the ends will curl up into the curlformer with the rest. I think maybe it doubles around the end? Not sure but it worked for me.

Hey Kelly,

Quick question- How do you think the long and narrow rollers would work on your hair?
The back of my hair is APL right now with the shortest area in the crown (about neck length) and I so want to get these but not sure which set. I so love how yours turned out :yep:!

Thanks Caribgirl,
My hair is about 2 inches shy of APL and i used a combination of both. The back of my hair is shorter then my crown. I would suggest you get the long and narrow ones, espsecially if you want your roots to get straight. HTH

Oh thanks a bunch! Ok, I will be picking them up this weekend. How many packs do you recommend?

8 come in a pack for the long and narrow ones and 10 come in a pack for the short and narrow ones. I used 3 packs of both. It all depends on the look your going for. My hair is kinda thin, so I didn't have a problem putting a big section of hair on one roller. I used more hair at the bottom and less hair at the top. HTH:grin:

I just ordered these from Sally's with the 20% coupon and hope I have good results. I gotta give my hair a break for the winter and hoping these work out for me.
