Did you do anything to maintain the curls, how did they look day after?

Thanks to the member who posted the youtube tutorial, I am thinking about using them on my 2 year old! I was trying to think of ways to do spiral curls on her natural hair. YEAH!!!!

Do I need to print out this coupon or is it offered within the store?

Print the coupon out and take it with you. I bought 4 packs yesterday. I got home with my purchase and forgot I had the 15% off coupon. Man, I turned my butt right around and went back to Sally's for my $8.00 off! Shooo, that's a lot of money!

Anyhow, I'm gonna try them out today. I bought the long and narrow packs (blue and green). Hopefully they work out as well as the other ladies :).

Thanks!!!! :bighug::grin: I love saving money!!!

Initially I bought 4 packs and the rod for a total of 54.10...then I ran back into sallys and bought another pack for 10.59. All sizes were on sale for 9.99 each.

In all I spent about $65:spinning:

Just watched your YouTube tutorial on Curlformers! GREAT!!!!! Thank you for taking the time to do this. It's very, very inspirational for me.

These things SUCK. I pulled out so much of my hair. This is going back TOMORROW :wallbash:. I wish I didnt live in the hood, cause they would be back at the store tonite.:nono:

P.S. Long strands were still in the damn curlformer. I broke a good area off. Now to find someone to braid my hair.

Sorry you feel that way. If you take the curlformer and extend it all the way out with one hand and squeeze the other end closet to scalp and open it and gently slide your hair out you might have a better experience. HTH!

The hair came out in the hook. And when I took them out....

They are going back.

Sorry about your bad experience ....But I love these things I am the type of person who cannot rollerset to save my life :nono:....try taking your time, once you thread your hair through the loop try holding that hair in place while you ease the curlformer up then pull SLOWLY!! I tried yanking it and that's a NO NO you hair will ball up and tangle.....just practice a little before you give up...GOOD LUCK.

 Thanks so much for doing that video. I REALLY appreciate it. And I loved my shout-out! Got me feeling all special!
I loved that you showed how versatile natural hair really is!! Your curls turned out so nice!! How long did you stay under the dryer?

:urock:

:lachen: By the time I got to the front , the back was mostly dry, so I only sat under the tryer for about 10 maybe 12 minutes. Next time I have to use a setting lotion though, becasue the curls were too soft, they only lasted for about 2.5 days. But they did stretch my hair so I'm going to rock it for another day or two just to show off my length:grin:.

That was a great video LadyKP. I would have never thought they would work on natural hair...always great to see another styling option.

E_W, I'm stalking your Fotki, girl. Your hair looks fantastic!! You keep it simple and that is definitely making the difference...

Anyway, I want to know how long it takes to put the curlers in. Are they expensive? Can you sleep in them? Can you use them on dry hair or must your hair always be damp?

Sorry for all the questions. I'm taking a trip to Sally's tomorrow and want to make sure I pick them up, along with the Perm Stablizer that DLewis recommended.

Why, Why, Why do these things have to work on natural hair? Now I must get them!:wallbash::lachen:

Seriously, thank you for the video tutorial, and thank you OP for starting this thread. I guess I'm about to be out some money, because the results are beautiful for you ladies.

i just saw a natural head on youtube use this product, it came out just and silky and curly! i have to look into this product for myself.

your hair looks great with it :)

Thanks for bringing them to our attention. They are so much easier than the rods...well for me they are.

ahhhh ! it was you! (sry for the ahhhh, lol feels like i just bumped into a celebrity  ) i didnt know you were a lhcf member, i should have known ;)
thx for the video, ur hair looked great!

I just bought the salon kit. It came w/ 40 long and wide, 6 short and wide, and 1 hook. It cost me $59.99+ tax. I tested one out and I was surprised at how fast and easy it was. I'm going to wash my hair tonight and put them in.

Hmmm these look even better than my curls when I do a flexi rod set :wallbash:....they might be worth the investment since that is my staple style when I'm not rocking wigs....sigh will the PJing ever stop :nono: :spinning: :drunk::drunk: :lick:

Thanks! I couldn't figure out how to properly use flex rods so the curlformers are a godsend:yep:

Thanks OP for starting this tread!

I bought all the long and skinny ones out of Sally's tonight. Set me back $75. These things better work!

Just watched the video, and WOW! These things look easier than flexis. I may be hitting Sally's up today.
