Congrats to the ladies who just made their new purchases!!

Can someone who has a Pibbs give me a measurment of the opening and the depth? I'd really like to get one but they seem to narrow for me to fit my fat head and Gray+ rollers.

On campus, but I will when I get home!

How does it tilt downwards? I just bought a knockoff Pibbs and I cant for the life of me figure out how it goes down. I attached the knob thingy into the pole (you all know what I'm talking about, right?) But the dryer hood is just facing up and I'm too afraid to put some muscle into it to tilt it down!

Are you trying to move the actual hood down (like it's too high when you're sitting in your chair) or trying to tilt the hood downwards to a different angle?

I just did a rough measurement and it's approx. 33 inches at the opening with the hood down, and the depth is a little over 9 inches

Awwwwwww cute baby. Favors you too...

Thank you to you and all the other well-wishers on my bundle of jow

You will love it! I have the 512 which isn't much different from the 514 according to the manufacturer (Pibbs) and I LOVE it! It gets my hair dry in 30 minutes and I always come out looking as if I'd gone to the stylist on my wash days and the days after. Enjoy! She IS worth every penny.

It was so nice that it came with a hairnet too because I didn't have one of my own when mine came and had forgot to purchase one...so it came in handy and I was able to use it on the same day it arrived.

I ordered mine from American Beauty Equipment Supplier. They have great deals on a lot of Beauty Equipment including the Pibbs dryer(s). 'Rob O' the owner-- is very nice. It's best to call them to place your order. They are in Chicago.

Do you have an exact address or webaddress? Thank!

Man!! I wonder why it's taking so long for mine? First sickbay taking two weeks and now this slow poke. I just double checked my post and I ordered back on the 6th. The tracking says it won't be here until the 17th.:wallbash: Considering I'm in the distribution capital it doesn't add up.

Umm, but I'm not that mad considering I got such a great price:grin:

Did you order from Appliancesourcecom? I ordered on the 7th and got it yesterday. I notice this, mines was here on the 12th and on the UPS truck and the UPS guy took it back because it wasn't supposed to be delivered until the 13th. I asked him why, I know him from work and he said that is how it was set up for delivery.

Thanks MsDee....Now I need to measure my fat head :-). I really want to get on my roller game b/c using heat is killing me.

Awww Denise is sooo precious...lol. Now I want one. I'm sitting here trying to psyche myself up to do an Aphogee treatment, then roller set, and this would make things go a lot quicker.

Yes, I sure did. As soon as I read the post and found out how low the price was I ordered immediately then came back to finish reading the thread. :look:

No problem. It's: http://www.midwestsalon.com/

They had fast shipping and were very nice but there is another site that someone listed here that had it cheaper I believe. If you are in Chicago or near there it may be good for you. I am not in that area and the shipping was a little high:yep:. So check out the other site. I'm not sure who listed it or if it was in this thread or not.... HTH.

I was so excited when I checked my tracking and saw it was "Out for Delivery" I went to my one class today and came straight home not leaving for NOTHING!!!

It was reallllllly easy to assemble and came with the necessary hair net and all. I've been waiting to do my mid-week wash for today. I'm kinda lazy and feeling a wet wrap, but I soooooooo gotta do a rollerset with my new Pibbs!

I just want to thank ya'll for the info and knowledge. All the money I save on going to the hair dresser is sooooo paying for the Pibbs!

check www.healthytextures.com that's Macherie's site AND she's coming out with a DVD soon... or do a search for rollersets and people have plenty of pics you can look at (dlewis, mine, and tons others)

I am sitting under mines right now, as I type. I am hoping I have the best heat setting for me and I time it at 30 minutes, we will see. So far I love the independence of where I can put it, it does feel weird sitting under it and getting under it, I need to get a bigger hair net, the one that came with it will not worked didn't fit on my big head with purple rollers. I am just wondering how is it going to dry the hair in the rollers at the bottom back and bottom side we will see.

Congrats that you got it!! And FYI my slow tail just learned on my third use that the hood tilts to make it even easier to adjust

HTH

Well you can just have it sent to a friend or relative in the US and have them ship it to you.

True, but I had something sent to my Mom before and it took her months to send it to me.

I'm checking out this site called shipitapo.com, it looks pretty convenient but I need to calculate the costs first. I'm getting me a pibbs dammit!!!

I went to BuyRite on Wednesday and purchased the Pibbs 514. :yay: It's still in the box though. I think because I'm still in a sew in and won't be using for a little while. But, I'm so excited about my new purchase!

I got mine from Buyrite too. I had it shipped to Macon which is an hour away from Atl. I paid $40 bucks for shipping because I did not feel like driving. I want to go to the showroom to see what else they have.
