Where would you start?
How would you prepare?

I don't think I can handle all that. I can see myself dedicating a whole day with nothing else planned to take care of this.

Wow her hair is super pretty! Honestly, if that were me, I'd probably wanna get it cut. That's way too much hair for me  But if I had to keep it that length, I'd probably keep it simple. Pre-poo, shampoo, deep condition, then air dry. That's it. No extras, no fancy steps, nada. Ain't nobody got time to be dedicatin' all day to their hair, even though I feel like I totally do sometimes now and I'm only APL :look::lol:

I would ask her does she want it cut. Dedicate at least 6 hrs to do it, and keep it in one or many multiple braids or protective styles and keep in for at least a week so it doesn't tangle and allow her to wear it out occasionally .

Gorgeous hair in theory, but I'm sure it's lots of work. If it were me or my daughter's hair, I would keep it stretched all the time, because I can only imagine trying to detangle all of that! Co-washing twice per week in sections and then putting it into a braided bun. Deep conditioning twice per month and clarifying monthly. Straighten quarterly only to trim!

Beautiful!! I'd have a simple regimen.
My DD's hair is classic length and I make sure to keep it detangled and moisturized.

That would be a project for DH. He maintains his waist length hair and I think he'd do a great job. I'm sure he would learn to braid.

Donate it. That's just too much for me, personally. I don't even want anything pass BSL. I know who I am, I'd never dress up bc I'd never want to face spending hours to get my hair how I want it.

This wouldn't happen because anything after full wsl is getting trimmed off. Hair long enough to fall into the toilet is not going to be an option in my house.

My sister's hair was as long, if not longer, when we were growing up. She was at knee length when she finally cut it. Wash day was an all day thing in our house. Especially since she kept blowing out blow dryers. Usually it took two of us to comb it out and braid it. Unfortunately, our grandmother refused to let her cut it until she was 21. When she finally did cut it, the hair dresser didn't believe her that my grandmother agreed and made her call her. Lol! She was 23.

If I'd ever let it get this long, it would get cut. While it's beautiful, it doesn't seem like there are very many options when your hair is this long. It would have to be in a ponytail/bun at all times to avoid it getting caught in everything.

My great grand mothers hair was that long. She would put it in one long braid and pull it between her legs when she sat down.

I think her hair is beautiful. If she loves it, I love it. I would leave it up to my daughter, because as long as her hair is healthy I wouldn't touch it with a pair of scissors except to occasionally trim.

I wonder if this woman is natural (looks like she's getting a blowout)? If so, depending on her shrinkage, it might not be so long when curly. Still a lot to deal with, but many naturals live in protective styles anyway

My daughter's waist length hair produces neck length twists and a short loose fro, so as impressive as this is straight, my daughter would probably only get shoulder length twists from it

I'm working on getting my dd's hair to waist length. That would be enough hair for me to handle. She doesn't have much patience either.

This is a misleading picture, as this woman is obviously getting her hair stretched/blown out. In its shrunken state, it's probably only APL, BSL at the most. Hair that long is obviously very strong and durable (as that represents about 10 years' growth right there, even with the fastest of growth rates), so I'm sure that this kind of hair would do well with weekly wash, conditioning and blowouts. I am sure that a person who had the patience to cultivate a head of hair like that is more than likely well-versed in the art of the the updo (cinnamon buns, nautilus buns, infinity buns, crown braids, etc.) reserved for extra long hair, so as long as she wasn't trying to get "extra," "fancy," or "cute" with her styles, I don't see why this amount of hair would be a problem. :ohwell:

ETA: So in answer to your question, I would adapt accordingly with my styling and take care of it as always; with patience and pride.

beautiful hair

but team tooooo much--lil tink tink would have her hair cut to mbl....thats too much hair....

Didn't you remove her locs recently? How long does it take you to style her hair?

I took them out about a year ago. I try to keep her in 2 strand twists, because I hate doing hair and that has been the longest lasting style by far. It takes me maybe 3 hours and lasts about 3-4 weeks (when it starts trying to loc again in the back).
