:hiya3::hiya: Ms_CoCo37 I'm good! Thanks. Been busy with school. How are you? I love the twists. And I bet they'll get fuller from shower steam overtime. I say that because I know how fine textured hair can be.:yep:

BlaqBella, aside from needing to lose weight :look: I'm great! Thank you for the compliment. I'm just glad they turned out nice. I've been leaving them out when I shower, and they are starting to plump up nicely. I'm going to post an updated pick this Sunday since that will mark one week since I did them. :yep: It's good to hear from you! I hope school is going well.

These look really good! What is your upkeep going to be?

Chameleonchick, Thank you! Every night I spray my hair with my tea spritzer (horsetail, nettle, linden flower, lavendar, and rose hip plus lime and bergamot EO). I lightly spritz my whole head, and I focus more on my ends for moisture. Then I'll seal my ends with my concoction of oils and wrap them like I would if my hair was straight. I'm hoping that this will make them last for a minute. :yep:

Your twist are so pretty. How do you keep the ends from unravelling?

mensa, thank you! When I get towards the end of my twists I add a good bit of my shea butter creme and I start twirling them around my finger. Even though I spritz my ends every night, the twists aren't unraveling. This is a rare feat for me. Normally, it doesn't take anything for my hair to start unraveling. I light gust of wind could come through and my hair would start unraveling.

Another alternative that I like to use on the ends of my twists is the flax seed gel. I would have used it this time around, but I was too lazy to make it.:look:

How in the world did you do them in 5 hours!!!! It takes me forever, more like 10-12 and I swear mine aren't that small! Can you do mine? LOL

They look great!!!

Your mini twists look wonderful! I agree with the poster who said they look professionally done. :yep:

I've been doing twists on and off for about a month now. I want to do smaller ones but I'm bad at getting the medium ones to last so I don't want to waste my time. I'm trying to wear my hair in styles that last (less manipulation), somewhat stretch my hair (less tangles between my texlaxed and natural hair), keep my hair in small sections (I do well in braids, I just don't feel like wearing them), and are cute. I thought the only way I could get smooth twists like yours would be by adding extensions. I took some notes after reading this thread. :look:

sweet_silvia88, 2sweetnsugarland, so1913, soonergirl, @classoofive, thank you so much ladies!

swirl and BlaqBella, I was just hydrating and sealing my twists when I decided to take some pix to show how much they've changed since Sunday. They've really plumped up and they're super curly at the bottom. While I hate that I lost some of the length due to shrinkage I think they're pretty cute. :-)

they do look good! mines would be a frizzy mess by now.

classoohfive, they're still hanging in there! It's almost the end of week 3. They've shrunk like nobody's business. Here is an updated pic:

I'll try to post a few more in a few minutes.

Ms_CoCo37

Thank you for the update!

They still look nice. :yep: I'm lucky if mine look like that after a week. I'm going to try these mini-twists instead of my medium twists for the summer since I still don't want to do box braids. I think the smaller size will keep them looking nice longer.

classoohfive, I really think it will be worth the time and effort to do the minis. Make sure you post pix when you do. :-)
