I finally got up the nerve to do some mini twists, and i think i need more practice lol. They turned out ok, but of course the front starts to get fuzzy and it doesnt look as clean and it begins to unravel. Ive only had them in for two days, and i cover them at night with a satin scarf and night cap, mouisturize my ends daily..all that good stuff. I was hoping they would last longer after ALL the hard work and time i put into them, but hey..win some lose some. I have to admit, im a little discouraged. It was my first atttempt so i try and remeber that. Practice makes perfect! I thought i had it down. I watched video after video to make so i was doing it right. Im not sure where i went wrong. :scratchch Maybe its the layers that i have in my hair, or maybe my hair just isnt in its healthiest state..IDK YALL lol. But i will try it again just not anytime in the near future. Here all my result..any suggestions? :thankyou:In advance!!!! Oh and my face was greasy from the products so please excuse! :)

Those pictures were after i just finished them. Maybe i was trippin a little lol. They dont look as bad as i made them seem. But those were the pics i took when i just finished them so they look fresh. But after only 2 days allot started to unravel and they were getting really fuzzy so i was like man what is going on?? Here are some recent pics. My edges are thin so i know that was one of the issues but the rest i just dont know that what was goin on.

You did a good job, looks a lot better than mine. I did some twist this past Saturday and they were too chunky for my taste.

Your mini twists look great as well as your clear skin!

:ot:
What do you use on your face to keep it clear? Or does your diet play a role in keeping a clear face?

Thank you guys for all the kind comments. :) I think they turned out pretty good too. Just the upkeep is whats getting me. They are already unraveling and all the fuzziness. Maybe instead of stretching I should blow dry my hair first to ensure they stay straight.

I like it! How long did it take you?

I did them during the course if the week do I did a few hours nightly when I got home from work. Started monday finished late friday night. If it wasn't for work it may have taken me 2-3 days I suppose.

They look great! And you did em yourself? Sheesh!

I would LOVE that style on me, but I know myself, and I don't have the patience to sit long enough to put them in OR take them out.

Lol :) thx. I use facial washes that aren't drying, so no bar soaps for me. I was using this stuff I got at the dermatologist a long time ago. It latest forever. LOVED IT.. Think it was called sothys. Left my skin soft and clean. I used their exfoliation treatment and moisturizer for awhile as well. I ran out of the moisturizer and started using mary k products. I've always loved mary k's products as a backup. I recently started trying something new I got from whole foods..organic natural stuff. Not sure how I feel about it yet. And being that I'm kinda sorta..well I am broke at the moment lol my go-to is always vaseline. I lightly put it on. I normally use vaseline for my eyes and lips nightly anyway so I just use a little more to moisturize my face daily if I have nothing else. And I try and eat healthy as on the regular. I love my junk but greens make my body feel good. I juice fruits and veggies daily, take vitamins, I stick with chicken and fish for my main proteins, and I eat lots of veggies. I believe healthy skin starts from the inside. What you use on your skin won't keep the acne away, but what you put inside your body will. Facial washes are bonuses for helping our skin types breath and remain clean. Eating unhealthy foods regularly are the main causes for acne. Grease will not allow your pores to breath lol. Therefore I chose mother earth :) My dermatologist described what lies under pimples as cisco. She said when its warm its liquidy but once it cools it solid and white. And basically your pushin all that grease (crisco) that you eat in your foods out your skin lol. Its nasty but it made sense to me. Sorry for the ramble..I'm a health nut.

you and your hair are beautiful!!! I tried mini-twists a little while ago and mine were twice as big as yours ...i didn't have the patience to do them as small as you. Yours look GREAT!! good job!

Thanks for your response! Even though I didn't see your response until today, I had already started incorporating a raw food diet of eating fruits and vegetables in my diet last week. I hope to render the benefits of eating more healthy now.
