where was your hair last year?

Around this time last year I was a little above SL and in Senegalese twists for the winter had a lot of trouble with my ends ... mainly getting use to being completely natural. Now I'm grazing BSL and Bunning is my main go to for protective styling. I don't have a huge problem with spilt ends or breakage anymore. I give credit to consistently Bunning and moisturizing. And definitely MN helped with my progress

Last December I was natural, shoulder length and just starting to experiment with braid/twist outs.

This year I am December, I am natural, APL and getting much better with my twist/braid outs.

Regimen has become simpler and simpler over time. Going to try to keep it twisted and bunned more often because the temptation to have it out all the time is quite strong

Well my hair was just about the length it is now, maybe an inch or so shorter, but not near as healthy as it is now. The cut I gave myself in Jan. 2012 was more beneficial than I could have dreamed it would be. I didn't have enough for a ponytail. However, I gained around 6-8 inches from Feb.-Dec. 2012, and trimmed heavily for the first 3-6 months. My hair is SL, but fuller and healthier.

Last year my hair was relaxed. I started a new job and thought that I should wear my hair straight. I now look back on that decision with regret because I ended up cutting off those relaxed ends (again :naughty:). Never again. Back to texturized hair for me. Pic below is of me last year.

Yeah, I don't think my hair has grown much. I know this year I decided to texlax because the SSK's were getting worse as my hair grew.

I will say my hair is alot more healthier. Tomorrow I will flat iron my hair and give the ends a good chop to start the year right. Hopefully, I can be a little more pass BSL by the end of 2013.

Last year my hair was at ear length when I did a twist out and looked frizzy (pic 1). This year with more growth and better techniques my twist-outs are almost shoulder length and more defined (pics 2,3)

Last year my hair was a lil past my shoulders, natural, and broken off in the middle part in the back. I started my hair journey last January and now my hair is a lil past apl, relaxed and the broken off part is growing back in. I wasn't really taking care of my hair in the past besides putting grease on it everyday and thinking i would see results from that. I started cowashing , deep conditiong, taking biotin. Also, I wore a sew in for a couple months and also a wig and I think all of those things has gotten me to apl. My only problem is getting past apl and I have only been bsl once in my life. After I always get to apl in the past my hair breaks off and goes back to collar bone length. So hopefully doing all the things I have been doing will help get me to bsl and longer. I won't be doing any more sew ins for awhile because of the cost and I prefer wearing my real hair so I'm gonna do more bunning this year and low manipulation styles like ponytails.

Last year I was neck length and this year I am almost APL. I had a setback due to dryness and breakage and didn't retain as much as I should have. This year I'm determined to stay consistent and stop the laziness. I have been natural for 2 years and my regimen is getting better especially as I switch to more natural products. I did buy a steamer which has been a huge help! Henna is also my friend so I will work on doing more often. Also, I'm getting this detangling technique down and not nearly losing as much hair.

Near bald as I lost it through stress. Well it was like that for a year because nothing would work.

Took nioxin for a little bit, started PS when it grew long enough to make tiny braids to wear under my wig and moisturized regularly. I wear a satin cap under my wigs, unlike before which has made a huge difference to the stocking caps.

I don't play with my hair anymore and mainly have it cornrowed under a wig. Finally it has gained some length and I'm EL - SL lol. KSS. Grateful for anything I can get.

Unfortunately my hair has not made any significant change o_O

I was hiding my half texlaxed, half natural NL hair under a wig.
This year I'm a full SL natural hair lady.

Wow, last year in january 2012 was the first month in 2 years that i began wearing my natural hair out without relying on wigs at all! My how time flies! I've learned a lot this year and much of it the hard way lol....looking forward to 2013

I believe my hair was a little past shoulder blade, now it's almost mid brastrap I'm guessing so it grew a little fast. Be keep in mind I was not on a regime
