Nope. I can't wait to be "the pretty Black girl with long hair"! I have to agree with the rest of the ladies. I have seen very few white women who's hair is drool worthy.

We couldn't "look white" if we wanted. Those black features don't hide!!!

They want to look like us sometimes on the other hand.

I swear Black women just can't catch a break with this hair thing. I wash my hair frequently and folks feel the need to remind me that I'm not white (as if I needed a reminder). You want straight hair...its because you want to be white. Now if you want long hair...its because you want to be white. Really??? People are so ignorant.
 
Fine 4s it is time to cease all non-work related conversation with these women. Your threads about them lead me to believe they resent you. I am sure their behavior doesn't or won't stop at just taking jabs about hair.
 
You know, I never thought about the fact that I know very few white women with long hair. There is only 1 out of 17 white women in our office with long hair and she is young (early to mid 20s) and she does nothing to her hair. She doesn't dye it, curl or flat iron it. And half the time it is in a bun. I believe her hair is waist length. The others all keep it cut and dyed. Very interesting.

And a white friend of mine got on the topic of hair and she has basically stated what some of you ladies have stated here on the board. She said although their hair isn't usually damaged from relaxers, often time it is the bleaching and the constant heat on the hair that causes many White women to have damaged hair. She said her mother's hair is incredibly thin from all the overprocessing and heat she puts on her hair. She tries to enlighten her mother, but she isn't trying to change her hair practices. So do I want their hair, not really.

I get the point - All white women don't have nice hair (Neither do Indians, Asians or anyone else)

but it's not somehow better to say that you're trying to act Indian or Asian rather than white. Which I guess... is implied at some points here?

It's all offensive. I'm trying to act like myself. Anyone can have long, pretty hair regardless of race or ethnicity.
 
The ironic thing is about said co-worker, is if she could have your hair OP I'm sure she would swap with you in an instant, regardless of "looking like a white woman."

Now compare that to how many Asians, Natives, Indians etc walking around with NATURAL Jet Black Shiny hair (BILLONS!!!!).

EVERYONE can grow long hair ... including men. So who exactly are you trying to be like? WTH. You're just allowing your hair to reach it's full potential. Next, being a healthy weight will only be for white women, having radiant skin will only be for asian women .... :drunk: Where does it END?
 
I would argue that white girls are trying to look more and more like us every day.

Lol, whoever said that needs to go with me to the Asian BSS's here. White women buy their extensions, weaves, synthetics, UP! Then she can try to run that statement by again.

It's okay to call us out on wanting long, healthy hair, but when someone mentions their use of tanning beds, extensions, or clip-ins, everyone gets defensive. "I LOOK PASTY!" To heck with that >.>

there is really no need to compare white people to animals and talk about how most of them have nasty scraggly hair

you don't have to drag down others to prove your point or uplift yourself. you end up looking like a grade school bully.
 
So growing long hair makes you white? Since when? I swear we just can't win, having short hair means you can't grow your hair. If you have long hair your trying to turn into a WW. Haters will hate no matter what!
 
Okay, but some white women cut their hair, who are those women trying to look like?

Actually, some people may think it's silly but when I first saw Amber Rose, obviously with her bald head, I really and truely thought she was black. :laugh:
 
hmmmm I guess my black skin and black features wuddnt make it obvious that Im black wether I had short, long, straight, curly, kinky, blond, brown or red hair ?

I have never in my all days seen an indian or native american. In terms of length and general health, they definitely get top scores.
