your favorite shampoo and why

My hair & scalp doesn't like conditioner shampooing so I've been using the Aubrey line of shampoos and my hair loves it! No more tangles & long comb-outs.

Paul mitchell awapuhi shampoo. very gentle to my hair.

i can't believe so many people love cream of nature, that stuff always leaves my hair so dry and brittle. one of my old stylists (and he was a great one who was actually concerned about hair health) said that cream of nature was one of the worst products that you could use on your hair cause it was so damaging.

There are a couple of different formulas. Did he specify one particular formula or did he dislike CON in general?

He didn't specify which one. But this was like 6 years ago so maybe they have improved their formulas since.

Jaibee,

The best stylist I ever had an older lady told me Cream of Nature wasn't good either because it has balsam in it and that balsam isn't good for relaxed hair.

Well, if I can pick only one, I will have to throw my hat behind my old trusted Cream of Nature for dry/damaged hair. There are a lot of shampoo's that I like,

but this one is really an excellent shampoo that never fails to get the job done. I always come back to it.

Hi Nay! My new fav shampoo is Goldenrod therapy shampoo by Prairie Naturals. I just tried it today and I was instantly in love with it. Here is what's in it :

Each Application contains:
- Purified water Disodium Oleamido Sulfosuccinates (cleansing agent derived from wheat germ oil)
- Astragalus Extract (Astragalus membranaceus)
- Jojoba Oil (natural emollient), d-Panthenol (pro-vitamin B5 conditioning and thickening agent)
Aqueous Herbal extracts of: Goldenrod, Nettles, Yarrow and Spring Horsetail (Silica) (counteracts oily scalp, normalizes sebaceous gland oils, controls build-up on hair shaft)
- Allontoin from Comfrey Root (normalizes scalp, fights dandruff)
- Polysorbate 80 (prevents cholesterol build-up)
- Maize Gluten Amino Acids (derived from corn, imparts moisture)

Blended combination of pure aromatic oils:
- Clary Sage, Rosemary, Juniper and Basil, Ascorbic Acid (pH buffer)
- Quillaja Bark (natural foaming agent)
- Vitamin A, D and E (promotes healing)
- Kelp (eliminates chemicals)
- Folic Acid / Biotin (B Vitamins)
- Nucleic Acids (RNA-DNA)
- Grapefruit Seed extract / Methyl Paraben (preservatives)
- Fragrance of natural aromatic oils, pH 5.0

My hair was soft, not tangled and was full of moisture.

It was almost a shame to put conditioner in it. ( And I never felt that way about any shampoo) Now I'm dying to try a Prairie Natuals conditioner but I'm going to wait until I really need it. I have a lot of good conditioners already.

I love creme of nature for dry/ damaged hair (green and yellow bottle) and Biosilk Hydrating Shampoo. They both make my hair feel soft and silky in the shower. Now, my quest to find something that makes my hair feel soft and silky OUT of the shower!!!

I LOVE Suave Daily Clarifying shampoo because my hair feels so clean after using it and it never feels drying to my hair.
