You have toooo much hair!.....WHAT?!?!?!?

Has anyone ever told you that? What do you say/think about it?

Short story....

I was getting a sew in last night and my friend was cornrowing my hair. My hair had just been blown dry and my hair I admit is big and lovely afterward. But my friend was complaining about how long it was taking to cornrow "all my hair". She said girl you have "too much hair". I said, "you act like that is a bad thing". she said, "I remember when you aint have no hair". I was like o boy...it is true my hair used to be shorter but I have always had thick hair.

Multiple people have told me girl with all that hair why are you weaving it up, the answer is sometimes you want a break from doing your hair right? Weaving gives me style versatility too. My bf's family and one od my hairdressers have told me that multiple times.

I love having lots of hair......too much is fine with me, I guess I should take it as a compliment.

Take it as a compliment, I know I do.
The best part about braiding it for me is the shock I still get when I take them out - the volume is incredible!
Thick hair is a blessing as far as I am concerned.

Yes, I have been told this before. Usually by someone who is darn near bald. Or some hairdresser that is upset that she actually has to do some WORK. Too much hair? WHATEVA.

My mom told me that yesterday. But my demented @$$ thought, "Hmm. I might have too much hair, but you have too much of a baldspot. If I cut some of it off I could give it to you to fill that baldspot in........."

I have been told "you sure do have a full head of hair" But that was referring to thickness not length.

Yes a HAIRSTYLIST! I was in 7th grade and the woman said... "You know you could use scissors to thin some of this out...." Back then I felt insecure about my thick kinky hair and didn't know better. I got home and told my mom about her comment and she was disgusted to say the least. Now that i know SOOOOOOOOOOOO much better- that comment was pretty revolting- thin my hair w/ scissor??? WTF!!!!

Yeah, some years ago, a hairstylist told me my hair was too long to braid. I took it as a compliment.

And about thinning the hair with scissors...I remember watching Extreme Makeover once and the hairstylist just randomly started snipping through this black lady's hair as part of her makeover! Even the co-host was like, "Wait, what are you doing??!!" I guess he was thinning it out so he wouldn't have to work so hard to get her hair straight. Man, whateva!

I knew I wasn't alone, my friend did have short hair that she had to cut because of damage from color. And the funny thing is she kept asking me how can she get her hair to grow back.

I am happy with my hair because I remember how it was before so I will take it as a compliment frm now on.
