Congrats on your 3 years natural anniversary! You have beautiful hair and you did an excellent job getting it straight.

Awesome pix! What is your reggie cause I gotta be doing something wrong!
Moustacy. here is my regimen as promised:

I do my hair once a week, I normally wear braid out and I blowdry maybe about once or twice a month on average, but since my hair is getting longer, I find that I blowdry less.
I wear buns a lot and I usually have my hair up in some type of updo.

  1. Prepoo with oil or mild protein conditioner (mix of natural oils or Aubrey organics GPB)
  2. Shampoo (Curls cleaning cream)
  3. Deep Condition under the dryer (1hr) or just with plastic cup (2hrs)- (My staple DC is Aubrey Organics Honey Suckle rose, but I also use Shescentit Banana brulee, Hairveda Sitrinillah mask)
  4. Detangle with Suave tropical coconut
  5. Braid up my wet hair using Kinky Curly Knot today or Kimmaytube Leave-in. Let the hair dry and rock a braid out
  6. For moisturizer, my staples are Qhemet Heavy cream or Burdock root butter cream
  7. I seal with Coconut oil, Cocasta Shikakai oil, Vatika frosting or Oyin burnt sugar.
  8. If I need to rebraid for next day hair, I spritz my hair with water and add a lil KCKT and in the morning my braid out is fresh.
  9. If I blowdry I use my regular leave-in and use Sabino misture block.

I knew it...braids would be in the mix somehow lol It seems like that is the key to retention...I just gave myself a bkt after I chopped some inches of ssks off so I don't know what my options are now because a bun wouldn't work since my hair is hella uneven now and I gotta get this crap wet sooner or later so poof city.

Moustacy, I don't keep the braids in though. I braid when wet then do a braid out the next day when my hair dries.
