Okay, I'm sitting in church right now...ask me if I've heard anything he's said (sorry Lord). I'm sitting behind this lady with micros puleed into a bun but her nape looks like an ant farm. What the heck? And why she keep rubbing it? Line it up or brush it or somethin if you're gonna wear it up. Oh, and someone said "appewved" for approved. Tis all.

Mini rant over.

Girl, you aren’t terrible, IMO keeping it real. Other people are probably thinking the same thing.

THIRSTY! Her sister came and hugged her after church and was like "no you don't have that kitchen out!" The girl said she knew it was dry. Knowing is half the battle. I was just easily distracted today.

While you in church, imma need you to go lay your blackberry and lhcf on the alter in hopes that you can overcome your "addiction":lachen::lachen:

Not to be a buzzkill or overly serious... but dang, that's why I don't go to church.

You're supposed to be worshipping and praising God, not thinking about people's hair styles.

It seems in this day and age, people just go through the motions. Churches are full of hypocrites, I've seen it so often. "Godly" people who will turn their noses up at you, but they are just basically masquerading as Christians. What does church even mean anymore?

I tried to bite my tongue, but I just couldn't. The subject just strikes a chord in me.

Not a personal attack to you Eisani... you seem like a very nice person and anytime I've "run" into you, you have always been very nice, sweet and helpful. Nobody in this world is perfect, least of all me... I am not and I cannot pass judgement on you.

I just felt compelled to share my true feelings about this.

No offense taken at all, as you've stated, it is your opinion. There's a LOT that can be said to what you just brought up, which is a good point, but I'll leave it alone and I did get my rebuke/conviction for the day :)

u dont go to church because of the people in it? then thats equally as hypocritical, your supposed to be there for God not the people and what they do

Let GOD worry about the heart of another , because only he can be the true Judge.

There are many facets of Christians and most of all we are just HUMAN

I think just because someone is in church or says they are a Christian, if someone then expects them to have some cape that says 'SUPER SAINT' your making more out of it than even God HIMSELF expects:wallbash:

Girl, you should tap her for benediction and have them rub annoiting oil on that kitchen...lol..Just tell the pastor her kitchen needs prayer......lmao

:look:

Um, what makes someone's nape looks like an ant farm? not brushed out? dry?

I am just not sure that that meant.

That's a good point, but no... I don't expect everyone to be a super saint.

However, I feel that many... including those who actually run the church are not really even trying to be Godly.

I personally feel that churches on the whole are corrupt.

Even down to the people who go to them... I've seen some of the most evil, nasty people who go to Church every Sunday and from the outside, look like good Christians.

Like I said before, a lot of people go through the motions, but it seems as if they don't really care. It's COMMON to go to church and get on your blackberry - what does that tell you?

I don't feel safe with the people in them or for what they really stand for. Call me paranoid, but I'm just being honest.

It doesn't seem like a good place for me to go, and yes, my environment and the people I have to interact with are important to me... especially in the case of where I go to worship. If I look up and see I'm surrounded by hypocrites, how inspired and good would I feel about being in that place?

The Christian church has a lot of problems.

I can't say it's even ONLY Christians. It probably is a human condition.

I don't feel comfortable expressing my faith in any so called "House of God" because in the end that's not what it truly is a lot of the time.

This is all my opinion.

Not meant to offend anyone. I respect you a lot Iris.

"No hijackedness" Neith and Iris :spank::look: Both of y'all have great analytical minds and state your opinions very respectfully but uh, OT!! :wink2:

girl I hear you , your right, you gotta get God how and where he is, (whenever you need or want him) that might be in a church that might be in your car, that might be in your bedroom, he is everywhere/anywhwere you need him to be. Just saying sweetie, dont come down so hard on Christians, we aint got it all together, we are all a work in progress, he changes hearts all the time, dont let anyone make you 'throw the baby out with the bathwater' while someone is up in there being corrupt, trust God can still show up for them, someone else, or whatever! he shows up how and for who and WHERE EVER he chooses :bighug:

and u know I love you Neith!

so umm back on topic :spinning: yeah the oil sheen spray, carry a bottle with you where ever you go:grin:

My napes looks dry all the time, even though I moisturize it,deep condition , oil it..everything. It doesn't take away from the fact that I take an hour to do my hair everyday, and I am always trying to find a solution. I have an ant farm and proud of it darn it, I work too hard to be ashamed.

During my Bible study group, we was just talking about how in the church people can look down on others because of how they look, from James chapter 2. We uplift the rich people, nice looking people and treat with disqust the poor people, or outsiders instead of just helping them. We focused on the fact that they might not even be homeless or anything but just struggling. So I completely understand.
Even if we are hair addicted there comes a time, to put that side to honor God.That is what being a Christian is about, putting aside the flesh and developing the fruit of the spirit.

Wow, I feel like I was in bible study reading this thread. and i love the fact that we can all just talk like grown women of God. I just love that. As the siggy say, I love Jesus, and he works on me daily (as the bible speaks of dying daily). But Lord knows, I have become a much better Christian, and striving to be better. I love all of you ladies and even though i don't know y'all personally, I feel like I know y'all. :blush3: (mushy moment)
