This similar scenario happened to two ladies I know who ran in the same circles, since it happened, they have not been friends and purposely avoid each other.

The high school thing is ancient, but I would have to pass on account of the "groupies". I dont compete and I dont share. This aint no reality show

It's not an insecurity issue, it's just I'm really don't have the energy for it. This is all I seem to attract and honestly it stopped being cute around the age of 22

This is my fear. I value my friendship with her. Plus, I can see having to separate myself from that entire group because of it. How awkward it would be. They were together for like 4 years.
