I should have known they would change the game up, but even still...can't beat their prices.

That was a short-sighted, poor business decision. Why would they want to STOP people from ordering by raising the minimum from $100 to $200?

It's a recession. What company doesn't want business?:perplexed

ETA: I just checked and it's only a $200 minimum for hair/wigs?
What makes an order a hair/wig order? 1 wig & $190 in other items?

I received 2 different orders from them with one order being all wigs and the other more wigs and fashion earrings. It was 100.00 min when I placed mine. I'm kind of mad because I've been using them to get my hair for about a year. But the reason she took the video down was because some youtube people snitched on her claiming she was causing hairsisters and other companys to lose business.

This is one of the reasons I don't tell folks on yt about the business I order from all the time because in the end it will either come back to bite you or the prices aren't gonna stay like that forever. Hence, messing it up for everyone in the long run. I love April because she is always looking at for the next person. But by this being wholesale stuff they could stop regular folks from buying from their company and make it only businesses which alot of wholesale people end up doing.

How retarded is this? Oh well, it was good while it lasted. I never planned on ordering from them anyway cause I didn't need 10 wigs to make the 100 minimum now it will have to be close to 20 wigs to reach the 200. I guess if you wear the same 1 or 2 wigs all the time, ordering 20 of them at once to last you might be ok.

Is Hairsisters/clairhair Black owned?? If it's anything like 99% of the bss out there...they are not. I can't understand why someone would be mad that we're getting a leg up on our hair care supplies. The mark up on beauty supplies makes my eyes water sometimes.
 
I placed an order about one week ago and recieved it about two days ago. I ordered when it was still a $100. min. I ordered 5 Janet Collection lace fronts and one Champagne wig. The Champagne wig was not in the box BUT I was not charged for it either. My order with S/H was about $120. Not bad. I am on the fence about ordering from them again. It was not a bad experience but I just foung a wig store in N Miami that sells wigs around the same price. Both sources are kind of slim with the selections but they are around the same price. Good luck ladies.

Yes, I just watched the Chris Rock documentary and was shocked by how few of the hair product companies are black owned even though we purchase and average of 80% of the products, especially when it comes to hair weaves, wigs, extensions, etc... Chris states that the Asian culture will not sell to anyone outside of the Asian race. I wish I knew how to manufacture the stuff. I'm sure we could come up with better more natural looking "fronts" to our lace fronts since we wear them and know what is wrong and right about them. I am getting was off the subject. That is a whole new thread. Sorry.

It's definitely something we as black women need to address though. There are wholesale places that will sell to just about anyone so I'm trying to figure out why black entrepreneurs aren't jumping on this.
 
I'm guessing this is a great site if you wanted to start your own little online business of selling hair products...

But all stores mark prices up. I was on one wholesalers site and they sold 12 pair of shoes for 112, that's $10 a shoe. Saw that same shoe on a fave website for 39.99, yeah thats a come up.
 
Just spoke to them and they said that the decision to raise the min order was a "management one". Basically he explained that they are tying to interface with retailers only hence the price increase as they doubt individuals will spend $200.

I suspect they got a lot of pressure from retailers like Hairsisters and blackhairspray etc

wow ok....honestly there are still alot of folks willing to pay the 200 especially if they can get other people to go in on the order. If I ever order from them I would find someone in my area to hook up with and order together. It's not that hard to maneuver around the 200 hahahaha
 
Did you ask what makes an order a hair/wig order for the $200 minimum versus the normal $100 minimum that is still in place for other goods?

My order was not just wigs, but earrings, necklaces & hair clips.

good qu - no didn't ask that. They just said $200 min for Intl and hair orders.

I think we are better off doing group orders by state and country.

Any UK (or EU Ladies for that matter) who would like to order, please shoot me a PM...

My friend placed an order earlier today that was only 140 and she had wigs and she said it looks like it is going through. She said she is gonna let me know if it bounces back. Also, her first order she placed was only for 73.00 including shipping and she has a tracking number for it so she took chances and ordered less than the minimum and it worked for her.

Ok now my cousin wants in but she only has like 100-120 worth so if anyone is still looking to order but is under the 200 and is in NYC let me know.

I just got my invoice from when I placed my orders Wed. I can't wait...

I hope that they don't raise the minimum again or stop selling to anyone other than businesses online....

I wonder if they require a $100 minimum for people who buy form the store? My cousin lives in Tampa and is a hairstylist...I might just have her get my wigs for me & ship them to me.....hmmmmm

According to the Better Business Bureau the owner's name is Mr. Chang Hong. I'm going to take a wild guess and say he's probably african heritage challenged.
