Since i've switched stylist (this year), i have been using mild. But before, my old stylist was using super.

Regular. I have coarse strands with medium thickness. Putting mild on my hair is about like doing a CO wash. Super is too strong.

I used to use super when I had no idea what I was doing. It tore it out!
I am currently using regular, and it works for me
I am seriously debating going to mild! I don't want anything harsh!

I use super because my hair is very resistant!

SOME people really do need it. Super still doesn't get my hair straight.

I use regular but I'm considering making the change to super... I'm so tired of always being underprocessed.

I use super . After being natural for about a year I decided to try regular strenght when I started relaxing again. My hair wasnt having it so i'll stick with super here on out.

Mild Lye--will be making the switch to mizani butter blend next touch up. My hair is very thick, but not very resistant, so hopefully it'll work out well.

Um why does the poll have the question "Do you think OJ did it?" and then has relaxer strengths for options, that's weird. I see that this is an old thread.

ETA: I use Fiberguard Sensitive Scalp in Normal.

I have used Super plenty of times because I have very coarse hair. It has damaged my hair quite a bit, which I never really analyzed until I got on this forum. I will be downgrading to Regular in the future. Whenever I perm again....

My hair very COARSE I use reg strength- which leaves me w/ texlaxed hair. I would never even think of using super.

When I was relaxing, I always used a mild, unless it had been many months in between TU's...then I'd use a regular. Now transitioning to natural though.

I have the same reason as Keisha....mild works just as well for me as regular or super, and I have never burned from using it, even though I do my own relaxers

Well you are luck. I don't know if it is because my hair has gotten stronger over the last few months or what. Regular just does not process like it used to in the past. I have not relax in four months now, but I have alot of underprocessed spots and I left the relaxer on the set amount of time in the instructions. This is part of the reason why I am thinking of transitioning.

Could it be because you have too much new growth? If you have more than 3/4 inch of new growth or even 1 inch (which is pushing it) your hair is not going to relax evenly. When you have more than 1 inch of new growth the hair close to your scalp will process straight and the rest of the new growth will not be as straight. When you have more than one inch you have to apply the relaxer like a virgin relaxer or else it will not process evenly.
