I MISTAKENLY used mild when I was in high school (a long time ago..) and the mild relaxer did absolutely NOTHING to my hair! In college I used Super and continued to do so until I realized that I didn't need that strong of a relaxer. So, I am a regular-strength girl!

I generally use a normal relaxer, but from time to time I use a mild relaxer...
It depends of how I want my hair to be ^^

I have always used regular but the next time I relax I am going to use mild because I now know :bookworm: about the harsh process that relaxers do to your hair. Yeah I know I should go natural but I dont think I am ready for that just yet. :perplexed

I have been using regular strength since I was a little girl. I got my first sensative relaxer 2 weeks ago and I will never go back. It's interesting to know that while regular was never "too strong" for me, sensative isn't too weak...if that makes sense. I bet there are so many people that are so many people that could easily use a mild or sensative formula and still get the same results as with regular strength.

I use Regular. I have like 3 different textures on my head so one part doesn't get as processed but I don't mind

I totally agree. I was surprised as well!

I use super only because my aunt once told me that since I have a sensitive scalp, my hair will take faster therefore I can wash out faster when the burn starts as opposed to using Regular in where I'll burn, even if the relaxer hasn't done it's thing yet. Is that true? :perplexed

Mild...10 minutes from start to end.

The poll is crackin' me up...:lachen:

You know! What's up with that? Is it intentionally or was it an error? Anyway, I pulled a super relaxer through my hair for years. Now I use regular.

So is the mild a lesser strength than regular? Is it like super, regular, then mild on the strength scale or do I have it all messed up? I wanna switch relaxers but I don't know which one to choose. I know i want to use a mild lye relaxer but which one is a nice one to try for my 4a hair?

Yes, mild is a lesser strength thatn regular with super being the strongest.

My vote is for mild.

I use mild. I tend to be a little slow with application so mild buys me a little more time. I also use mild because I have medium fine hair and it is easy for me to get overprocessed. If I use regular, I have to relax one half of my hair first and then relax the other half.

When my hair was super short-super all the way

When I have more hair-regular

Even though I am 3c my hair has a deep wave pattern that is very resistant. Mild does nothing for me!

the milder the better for me. last time i used mizani for fine/color treated hair and my hair is neither, and it worked out just fine.
