numbers are arbitrary...You have to measure it by the body part...or armpit in this case. everyone's determining number will be different...especially if you have a longer or shorter back....Thats why pictures with lines at the landmark spot are better.

Honestly, I'd say you can claim APL since a good portion of your hair is hitting the mark, however imo you aren't full APL. Just your back nape layer is APL, the rest has some catching up to do.
My hair grows the SAME way. I'm about 3 inches from APL only in the nape. The crown and sides are just barely scraping SL.
I can't imagine that it would even matter to anyone what to call your length, your hair is pretty and healthy and that's that
Exactly! I would claim it when the hair that's on the top of my head and crown and front is touching as far down as the back of your head. Then you will be APL.
Too many women measure from the back of the neck, you really shouldn't do that because the back of the hair hangs lower
