I've been wondering about this....So when it it legal to claim sl, apl, bsl, mbl, so on and so forth? From crown to _____length, or nape to ______length?

I think people just go for whatever part touches that length first. Ex. If my nape hits BSL first before my crown I'm still BSL. Just as long as something touches it lol.

LOL, "legal" made me laugh. Well, IMO, when that one little strand hits APL I shall be rejoicing and letting out a sigh of relief!

Exactly! I figure if one strand can get there, so can the rest...eventually!

Im one of those folks that feels that at least 90% of my hair has to touch whatever marking in order for me to claim a length. I dont hold others to that standard though. just for my hair.

BB67 I unerdstand....I'm not either, ya'll don't get me wrong, I was just wondering about this since we only say hooray I made____length! I'm glad to wake up with some responses, thx ya'll! lol, so hopefully in about give or take another 6mth I should reach shoulder length from my nape. My hair is about 3" from my shoulder or shall I say the 3.5" past my shoulder I myself is going to claim my first goal and I may even celebrate w/ my favorite blk forest cake buttercream not whip'd cream...hate whip cream....

I am not claiming shoulder length official until the strands on the top (in the middle of my head) reach my shoulder.

My nape is already there.
