I had a rinsing accident last year that left the far right side of my nape looking horrible. I stopped relaxing it for a while and now it's over 5 inches. I still have a ways to go but I will never rinse my hair in the sink/tub ever again (hair got stuck in drain while rinsing and I had to pull out my hair).

I voted edges and ends!! My edges have ALWAYS been short!! My I need to invest in a growth aid!! And my ends have tons of split ends....I think I need a trim!! :nono:

I voted Crown also , also mid back. It's funny these areas seem to grow the fastest, but are also drier & prone to breakage. Especially if I stretch too long.:nono:

my nape. it never retained any length when I was relaxed. Now that I am natural, the nape on the sides grow like crazy, but the middle part of the nape is this weird wavy texture. There is no curl pattern, and twists won't hold in that section at all. It's also hard to retain in this area. I have a feeling that it needs something completely different than the rest of my hair in that area, but I haven't figure out what it is yet.

My edges are a HOT mess! I apply Bee Mine growth serum, Hyrdatherma Growth Lotion or Cockasta Shik. Oil ...Just trying to keep them moist so these suckers will grow back in

Below my ear on the left side. I have had continued problems with it for the past maybe 5 years or so relaxed and natural. It is better than it was but still pretty bad.

It was my nape until I used some I learned on LHCF about braiding up the nape and keeping it moisturized...that and not relaxing it are the only things that worked from me. I went from less than an inch to about 5 inches over the last year.

My nape is the problem. When I was 19, I left the relaxer on the nape too long and it broke severly. My nape is about 4 inches shorter than the rest of my hair. I keep cutting and starting over again. I am getting irritated. Any suggestions?

My nape. Its a dry hot mess. Broke off badly do to using too much cones. ( too much cones = dryness) Funny because my nape use to be the best part of my hair before LHCF.

Edges, Nape, and Ends..... the Crown is like the only part that is doing okay. My edges and nape feel like a 4zzz texture, while my Crown is a manageable and lovely 3c. Edges and Nape are super short. And Ends... have a problem with retention, but they are getting better about breaking.

with my Nape in London a few years back, when I thought after washing you had to blow dry AND flat iron your hair... I started to flat iron my hair... put in the plug adaptor, but forgot to change the voltage thing. My hair was singed off... it started smoking and the lights flashed. My daddy laugheed sooo hard at me. He still laughs about that. Luckily it was only the nape of my hair, easily covered up. But imagine if I had started in the front!

My crown area is my problem area , I keep it really moisturized and I, like tiffer, put gobs and gobs of deep conditioner on it.

My ends are problematic--I feel like I'm having too much breakage. I'm working on keeping my hair in twists and moisturizing and sealing my ends every night, since my giant dome is too big for a daily bun. I'm not trying to have people run into light posts and to make small children cry when they see the size of my noggin.

UUUUUUUUGH I was just thinking about my crown's messy ends when I saw this thread. It is the driest, most tightly curled, shortest (I think) part of my head... I just try to be gentle with it and moisturize it more, trying to baby it.

My edges are almost non-existent. The right side is the worst. Its been that way since I can remember so Im not really sure what caused it...relaxers? braids? I dunno but it would be nice to wear a puff & not feel self concious about my shiny near bald spots.:nono:

My nape which broke off last Oct from a relaxer. And my edges, they are thin generally but the braids I had took what I did have out..... I just leave them be now.

All of my hair in the back is short, dry, uneven, and frizzy. I hate it. After reading all of these posts I think that I need to apply extra conditioners, moisturizers, and oil to it. I hope it helps.

I dont really have a problem area, but my front is not as long as my back my hair grows in natural layers which I wish it all grew bluntly together if I can get my front to catch ccup woth the rest of my hair id be HAPPY!

nape and edges...need to remember to tell my hairdresser to relax those last....the last two times i forgot until she had already slapped the relaxer all over them! ugh!

My edges & ends are my problem areas. Before I put in my last set of kinky twists my edges had grown much longer, but when I refreshed my twists I made smaller parts; I literally saw my edges being ripped out, but did nothing :wallbash: My ends break because I don't treat them as well as I should while combing, etc, but even when I trim frequently and baby them I feel like I'm not retaining length.

My 4zzzzzz nape and edges...:wallbash::wallbash:

I have tried everything, but the nape remains broken and kinky and the edges aka hairline remains thin...:perplexed

My crown...grrr. It is the driest (sp?) part of my hair, the slowest growing, the first to frizz, and has no discernable curl pattern. So it just poofs up when it dries. Ive noticed recently that I have some breakage up there because I don't moisturize it enough when I am doing my twists. So now, I make sure that I spritz each piece of hair that I grab when I twist, and I detangle only with a wide-tooth comb on SOAKING wet hair. Finger combing is not enough. We'll see what my crown looks like at the end of the twisting challenge.

its the edges right above my ear on either side. its a completely different texture, much more coarse and rough. very annoying. it makes my stlyes look weird sometimes...=\

My entire flippin head! I'm a little bitter right now, but I can honestly say that I think my hair WANTS to be dry. I'm gettin a little tired of it.

My hairline was M.I.A...It's now starting to grow back. I've been using MTG and castor oil faithfully. Slowly but surely its filling back in. Just wish it would hurry up
