Whisper "bleep boop" to yourself when you're sad.
What are your problem areas? What are you doing to remedy the problem?

Now that I got my super dry nape under control, it's time to tackle my crown and edges.
My crown in super-duper dry. So whenever I dc, I apply a butt load of conditioner directly to my crown. The same thing when I moisturize (2 x's daily)
I lost a lot of hair on my edges when my thyroid was actin a donkey  So now I'm using a JBCO and aloe vera juice mixture on my edges. I massage this mix in nightly. Been using it for about 3 weeks, so I haven't noitced a huge improvement yet

My problem area is my crown. It is always so dry, so I try to put a lot of conditioner on there when I do my weekly deep condition. I also really concentrate on that area when I moisturize nightly.

Crown. It's so, dry, the poor thing. I try to keep it extra moisturized.

:look: I've more or less given up on my edges. They are as they are.

My nape is needy...lol! I don't put relaxer on it anymore and now it is fine. It is now only two/three inches shorter than the rest of my hair. whoo hooo!

My crown has more frizz then the rest of my hair. Therefore, I make sure to add additional product to that area. Also the sides of my hair need more moisture then the back and crown, my left side especially. I have to moisturize my sides more, paying more attention to the left side.

Don't give up! It may be hard work but unless you have follicular damage/alopecia something like that...it can grow. GL!

Since MegaTek restored my edges and nape, my super-dry tangly crown gets most of my attention. I have to spray it nightly and seal with a teeny-bit of raw organic shea butter. I only have to moisturize and seal my nape and edges every other night.

I put nape but before LHCF, it was my crown. I can't believe how well my crown is doing thanks to DC every week! For the first time in my life, i'm now having an issue with my nape but it may be from wearing my hair up in a bun. I'm going to get a weave and hopefully it is just due to the hairstyle. My edges are fragile and thin but getting better

My problem area is my nape, so I just moisturize it and try not to bother it too much.......I actually never had a problem with my nape, until I went to a stylist and got my hair cornrowed and she did them way too tight and my nape broke off, luckily my edges didn't fall out.......so no more cornrows!!!!

Breakage in my crown area is what drove me to hair boards. That area is coarse, wiry, and thinner. It is getting thicker now and I have been giving it extra attention when cowashing, moisturizing, and especially when detangling. I want to transition but this part of my hair causes me less problems when it is processed. I really like lazy hair care.

My crown, its thicker than the rest of my hair, gets dry faster and is the tangliest(is that a word?:lachen:). Baggying has really helped keep this area soft and moist. I always take extra care when i detangle. If there is any breakage in my hair that's where its at. Im natural but i had the same problem in that are when i was relaxed also.

My problem areas are my front edges (left side), all over breakage, and my ends.
Since starting my journey I have been protecting my ends. Daily sealing and protective styles, as well DCing have helped that tremendously.
The breakage has been stopped by obtaining the proper moisture protein balance. And not wearing tight ponytails.
My edges were thinning from years of braids. The the hairs themselves are so thin they're almost see-thru. So far I've tried MT/OCT and Castor oil with no success. Now I am trying Profective Temple Stimulant.

My edges have always been shorter than the rest of my hair. When I first tried MTG last year, it grew my edges out and the comb from the wigs took them right back out (now I know better). So, I'm adding castor oil and mtg and massaging every night and hoping this will do the trick. Looks much better than what it did a few weeks ago.

Well, by given up I mean that I still treat them with tender loving care, but I'm not doing anything 'extra' to try to get them to flourish.

I'm certain that my years in locs & braids did some damage to my hairline (esp when I used to rip them out :nono: What was I thinking??!?!?!?!?! ) and I'm hoping that time will heal that......but we'll just have to wait and see.

My crown area. If I can ever get it to stop breaking I could be happy w/ my hair. Well at least the healthiness of it. Its in process of growing "back" so its shorter than the rest of my hair. :(

My Nape .. I wear my hair down a lot and it rubs on my collars... I know better .. but i hate wearing my hair up lol

My sides. There arent receding but they are always broken off. My left side has not been longer than 2 inches for the past three years.:nono:

I look at my sides in the mirrow and I want to cry but I told myself they WILL grow back. I'm babying them as much as possible. They actually are growing just verrryyy slowly.

My nape has gotten much better so I don't really have a problem section anymore. I will say that managing new growth is something I should work harder at improving but if anything, my mind is my problem area. I get scissor happy really quick for no reason. I have cut nearly 5 inches off my hair this year alone. Bad I know  I am working on it, promise :yep:

my crown.

its is not a different texture, but somehow it is more fragile:spinning: than the whole head...mom's the same. maybe the hair diameter is smaller. idk.

i try not to even touch it most days. i treat it as the finest silk, but it may never be as the rest... time will tell.

I have multi-textured hair which makes breakage a bit of a problem. I am managing with Aphogee. Helps alot.

I still have some bon relax'd ends which I am slowly cuttting away.

My crown (the middle of my head right?) is the shortest part of my hair. I don't know what else to do. I treat it exactly the same as my other areas but it's taking long to heal. Charz boss I'm the same. My crown is waaay more frizzy than the rest of my hair.

Is it possible to have 3b,3c,4a and 4b hair on one head? If so that is me.

I voted edges and ends. Edges I have under control, they don't like braids, stocking caps and love MN. My ends have been breaking the last few months, BKT and Aphogee slowed it down but its still here -it may have something to do with the line of demarcation btw my new growth and remaining texlax cause it's all straight hair breaking...

My Edges are the problem mainly the right side,so i have been using Bee mine and Hydratherma Naturals Growth Lotion and now the Oil.I hope one of these products help it because i dont know what else to do.

Definitely my edges!! Last year, I was able to grow them back in with great success; however, my edges are just prone to shedding and breakage waaaaay more than the rest of my hair. Whenever I start to make progress on them, in the next few months, they start thinning again. They are seriously problematic for me.

:wallbash:

My area isn't really listed in the poll, my sides seem to be alot less dense(thick?) than the other areas in my scalp.

I am so happy I am trying this natural thing though. I've learned my nape has a much looser pattern than the rest of my head and it probably should've been relaxed last. It's been a reoccuring problem area in the past.

omg browneyez this is the same issue i have my sides are thinner and grow more slowly than the rest of my head so what have you done to remedy i really need help

Its possible, I believe thats me too.

When I was relaxed it was the crown of my hair. It would break off. Oh and my edges wouldn't be quite as long as the rest of my hair. Now that I am newly natural....I don't have any problem areas yet that I have noticed.
