Re: What\'s your hair plans for 2004?

-To learn how to texturize my own hair consistently.
-Salon visits will be for the rare wash and rollerset.
-To continue with the Surge and MSM and protein.
-To continue with the vaselined braided buns or ringlets down styles as opposed to high-manipulation styles like rollersetting.
-To patiently and thoroughly detangle with my fingers in front of the mirror before combing in the shower during ONCE weekly conditioner washes.

Re: What\'s your hair plans for 2004?

To transition and then do the BC in May or June
To drink water (notice I didn't say more, I drink none so drinking some will be an improvement)
To exercise for my heart, mind, body, soul, and hair
To stress less for the above reasons
To love my hair
To cover my head everynight and stop being lazy about it just cuz I have a satin pillowcase

My hair goals this year are:

1) To remain faithful to my hair regimen.

2) Moisturize from the inside out (meaning drink plenty of water, herbal teas) and cut down on caffein as I've heard this can affect hair growth.

3) Eat more fresh produce (believe it or not this is EXTREMELY difficult for me) I love carbs too much.

4) To not be afraid to trim if necessary, but not go overboard and also to learn how to trim MYSELF.

5) Continue with supplements even if it's just a daily multi vit.

6) Stay positive and know that I will achieve bra strap length and beyond!

7) To be a testatment to people (in real life, not just online) that black women can have hair longer than shoulder length.

Okay, I'll stop there.

Re: What\'s your hair plans for 2004?

My plans are to keep my hair healthy. I got about 2 inches cut off last month. So....
1)Keep my hair healthy to retain growth.
2)Keep it moisturized more.
3)Get more EFA.
4)Eat more green leafy vegetables.
5)Drink more water (Hard for me lately)
6)Exercise

Re: What\'s your hair plans for 2004?

1. Drink more water.
2. Eat more fruits and vegetables.
3. Continue with my current regimine.
4. Go to the hairdresser this spring.
5. Wear my hair down.
6. No permanent dyes

Re: What\'s your hair plans for 2004?

1)Fine tune then stick with my core products/regimen.
2)Wear my hair in protective styles (braids, phonytail, etc.) most of the year.
3)Stretch my relaxer retouches to 12 weeks (currently at 6-8 weeks).
4)Stay away from permenent hair color.
5)Stick with my vitamin regimen (Mutlivitamin, 4000mg MSM, 5-10mg Biotin and 2000mg Flaxseed. Also, want to try Silica).

Re: What\'s your hair plans for 2004?

wear twa for about three to six more months
drink more water
start taking the right vits
work on my braiding skills some more (IOW: practice on some heads)

Re: What\'s your hair plans for 2004?

1. Learn to cornrow and french braid on unstraightened hair well (I can do really messy ones that I don't like or I can do it a little better on hair that is semi-straight (light blowdry))
2. Learn to twist neatly. I don't why people say this is so easy, I find it hard.
3. Learn to rollerset decently and to press.
4. Keep all the growth I get.
5. Chop off my relaxed ends.
6. Refine my regimen and the products in it.
7. Drink more water.
8. Massage scalp for at least 5 minutes every day

Basically learn how to do every kind of style, lol, because my hands are all thumbs and I can only do the simplest styles in existence right now.

Re: What\'s your hair plans for 2004?

Increase Protein intake
Drink more water
Be consistent with vitamins

Re: What\'s your hair plans for 2004?

Oh, I forgot to mention that I will keep using Surge through 2004 and I'm SURE I'll get some GOOODDDD growth. I am very pleased with the added thickness too. Very good product for me.

Thank you, Shinyblackhair and Karonica! I can only pray for the best! This is my THIRD boy, so I've got NO choice but to look good as I'm the only female in the house! 2004 is going to be a GREAT hair year! That's what we should say when the ball drops--Happy HAIR Year!

Re: What\'s your hair plans for 2004?

In 2004, I, BlackCardinal, vow to:

1) get my lazy behind to the gym

2) stop unnecessary manipulation of hair

3) get rid of a few vitamins and take just a couple consistently

4) Use up my myriad products from different brands, and ease my way back into the Frizz Ease line for good (I'm still using my GPB and I might not use the Frizz Ease shampoo, but other than that I want to stick to one line)

5) Stop spending so much time on LHCF. I've been known to put down a textbook so I can see what new product reviews there are. That ain't right

Re: What\'s your hair plans for 2004?

1. drink more water.
2. find a good stylist without many trial and error at the expense of my hair.
3 drink more water.
4. learn to wear my natural hair in more styles other then a bun or under a wig/in braids.
5. drink water.
6. a simplfied regimen..no more buying every new product suggested on this board.

Re: What\'s your hair plans for 2004?

I plan to:

Take better care of my body
Wear my hair up more
Drink more water
Exercise, exercise, exercise

Re: What\'s your hair plans for 2004?

Hmm, let's see...my goals for 2004 are to:
1. Keep hair in crochet braids for the most part of the year.
2. About four times in the year, I'll get a relaxer, and deep condition/protein condition for a few weeks.
3. Find the combination of Surge/Supplements/Massage that will give me the most growth
4. Eat a healthier diet, drink more water and exercise...

Re: What\'s your hair plans for 2004?

1. Less manipulation. I have the worst case of hand in hair disease. It's amazing that I don't have bald spots right now.

2. Start back taking my vitamins.

3. Stay with the regimen and products that I'm using now. Although I may have to try the Surge. It's looking very tempting.

Re: What\'s your hair plans for 2004?

1. Knock out my hand-in-fro disease! I'd be able to keep my twistouts longer!
2. Keep practicing on new styles, particularly protective ones
3. Eat better, start exercising, and drink more water (for overall health as well as hair!)
4. Start taking vitamins (like flintstones or something)
5. As I use up products, try another so I will have first choice and alternate products for every purpose in case of emergency
6. Continue to shake the haters off...they'll come around when I have a head full of luxurious hair!
