I'm with you Skeegsmb. The sides,front is beyond my shoulders and my back to an inch or so away from the top of the bra strap. I'm in braids, so maybe I've reached the strap.

I think you are shoulder to armpit legnth. If your back is below your shoulders, you're on your way. I'm glad your seeing growth,girlfriend!!! We gotta keep encouraging each other till we reach our goals, and I KNOW WE WILL!!!!!

My hair is currently most unattractively armpit-length. I'm about two inches from bra-clasp length. Not only will it be a little longer, it will at least sound better.

My hair stylist cut my hair. It is shorter now. I ruined my hair while take out cornrows. I was tired of taking them out and pulled my hair out while taking out of the braid. One side was longer than the other side.
 
Three inches to shoulder length is a broad category. I am in that category but my hair is about a quarter inch from my shoulder. It should've been bald to ear, ear to chin, chin to shoulder. It is just a bit discouraging to be in the three inch category considering how far I've come.

i choose 3 inches because 3 inches of hair is roughly the look of a hallie barry cut which too me didnt seem to far away from shoulder. (ear lenght).

I think adrienne has a good idea about repeating the poll at the end of the year, maybe we could add in the chin - shoulder length to give everyone a lil more option ?

I agree we should do this again in a year or so and see how the numbers change (although we would have to take into account all the new members that will join between now and then).
I'm right at that shoulder to underarm length. The longest length is just reaching underarm (might be a "solid" underarm length if I got a touchup). I've got a bunch of other lengths too from breakage, bangs that refuse to catch up with the rest of my hair, and whatnot. But the overall appearance is a few inches past shoulder. I would be pretty satisfied just to get all of my hair nice and even at armpit length. Actually reaching my brastrap length goal would just be gravy

My hair is past my shoulders in the back and sides rest on collerbone but the front is a little shorter. My goal is healthier hair overall but even length all around at bra strap length is good enough for me.

Hey now, young lady. You know you've got to be patient with the braids. I am just about finished removing my braids. I have about ten more to unravel. They were not quite micros, but they were small individuals. It took about two days(taking it slow w/ big breaks), and I did feel like cutting out the braids and going for a fro, cause my arms were so tired from the process. But I haven't and I'm being careful. I haven't lost too much this time, so I hope I don't have to do more than a lil trim.

I also got a massive "trim" late at the end of the year (7+ inches), so I'm now at shoulder length (straightened), from bra-strap length.
A lot of hair, I know.

Due to shrinkage factor...i have to say stretched out...bangs and sides at underarm and in the back past bra strap top. It appears to be all one length as all the layers are gone. So I will say armpit to brastrap until it all stretches past the bra strap. Is that right? Bonjour.
 
My hair is past alittle my shoulders in the back when wet.
But the sides are 2 1/2 from touching my collerbones.
I have been without a relaxer for 4 months now,

and it looks sooooo short in my pics, so the only way I know if it grew longer, is to put it. LOL

My hair is 18 and half inches too right now. I started my growning journey at the beginning of November 03. I have been able to gain just about just over an incha t my last touch up (Feb, 10). I have never been able to grow past the end of my neck/barely scraping my shoulder. But I have found these hair boards now and so I am looking forward to the end of the year.
 
My hair in the back is a few inches below the collarbone and in the front it stretches to just below the chin.
