I am all over the place. Of late it has been wigs or twists. Trying to keep the protective styles until end of year.

I bun my hair everyday. It's a great protective style I think, boring, but effective. Sometimes, I wear my hair down or in a ponytail, but my hair rather like to be "bunned".

I just wear my hair in a bun or 'messy' updo most days. It doesn't matter how I start out that morning...sometime during the day I am going to clip my hair up. I've gotten to the point where I can't stand to wear it down any longer. The protective styles are really keeping my hair healthy and assisting in it's growth.

I do wash n' go's a lot, esp. during the summer.

Why this got to be your last post??? Post on girl, post on!!!

I usually wear a pony, really loose. But with 20 weeks of new growth, the scrunchy just could not handle it anymore, so I am now wearing a french roll/bun.

Cornrows w/wigs have been my staple style for a while now. I probably won't be wearing my natural hair out regularly until I hit my goal or come very close to it.:wink2:

I wear wng all the time but I don't really like my hair any other way right now. In the future I will do more styles. I can not wait for the day I can wear it in a bun. i have collar bone lenght hair and a big ole head so I can barely wrestle it into a ponytail...:ohwell:

I LOVE braidouts. For some reason, I tend to keep my hair better moisturized and take better care of it in general when I'm doing braidouts. I like being able to rinse or CW my hair quickly during the week and having a braidout makes that easy for me.

Even when I decide to bun for an extended period of time ... I still braid/plait it at night because it's more comfy to sleep that way.

OMG ... I was about to post the exact same thing (right down to the last paragraph about sleeping in braids even though I still wear it up). I love braid outs! So my breakdown goes like this:
  • Braid outs / twist outs: 2-3 weeks out of the month
  • Flat iron: 1 week out of the month
  • Bun or spider clip: 2-4 days out of the month

I wear mine in three braids ( one in front, one at crown, one in nape), put into a bun. Sometimes I wear just one braid in back, either high or low.

I wear different styles all the time but they are all protective. Braid in the back, on the side, phony pony, bun in the back, on the side. I prefer not to put undue stress on any part of my hair from wearing one style. Occasionnally, I wear it out for special events, nights out on the town. It depends...

I have been wearing my hair down for sometime now (rollersets). I am going to alternate with buns and ponytails.

I LOVE MY BUN! And I was having a bad case of the fuzzies, but some aloe vera gel cleared that right up!

I'm usually in this tired-a$$ donut bun about 99% of the time. I think I'mma switch up and try bantu knots. Looks like I can try this on dry hair so I'll do it tonight.

I'm a bunner. I'm very bored with it, but I'm back to bunning and I'm going to keep it up until Christmas because bunning helps me keep what I grow. :yep:

I wear a boring pin up style where I just simply hold my hair like I'm about to do a low pony tail, twist the hair and pin it up with 2 bobby pins

I do a bun. But since I wash my hair every three days and sometimes I might just run my hair under water in between the three days if I feel like it, I do a wash and go with a bun. I just put a scarf on it overnight and it should be mostly dry in the morning. In between my perms I only air dry. I typically only do heat for Deep Conditioning and when I relax my hair every 3 months. With the new growth, the wash and go doesnt like that bad. Its looks like I just have really curly and wavy hair.

I alternate between
pulling hair back, twist, tuck ends in and secure with bobby pins OR
pulling hair back, plait, and tuck hair in.

I usually do a rollerset once a week and then wear my hair half down. I was bunning everyday, but it started to take a toll on my edges.

Well, from fresh touchup to about halfway through my relaxer stretch, I rollerset on large magnetic rollers (gray and purple) to straighten, then put my hair in a claw clip. During the last weeks before my touchup, I rollerset on small magnetic rollers (3/4" to 1") for spiral curls.

Twistouts. Bunning was too harsh on my ends and I'm glad I stopped before I started to have problems with my edges.
