I wanna be MBL by the end of 08. For some reason I think I can do it!

WL would just blow my freakin' mind............I'll wait to 2009 to think about that.

The things I'm doing.....cowashing, taking flaxseed oil supplements and relaxing only 3 times a year. That's it!

I want APL

have a sew in right now.... I plan on wearing sew-ins and keeping my scalp moisturized to help with growth.....I think I'll reach my goal byt yr end if I get the normal 1/2" per month and retain all the growth.

My ultimate goal is mid-back length. This may change as it used to be waist-length but I really want to start enjoying my hair more and stop concentrating (obsessing) on growth goals.

-Hair regimen:
Wash & condition daily
Deep condition at least once a week
Pre-poo (overnight condition) 1-2x per week
Heavy protein every 4-6 weeks
Limit heat; wash-n-go pony or roller-sets for style

-vitamins:
Kerastase Densitive
Biotin 5mg occasionally

-protective styles:
None really (this may change)

-products:
Lots of products left over from PJ days
Current favorities: Kerastase for shampoos, conditioners & leave-ins/heat protectors & Jane Carter for moisturizing/taming ends

My ulitmate goal is actually APL but i didn't see it as an option so I choose BSL.
Currently chin length to just below SL.
I actually have 2 regimens depending on how I'm working:
Working Regimen:
Shampoo and DC weekly
Moisturize 2x day
protective style (bun) 5-6days a week

Leave Regimen:
Co-wash and DC daily
Shampoo weekly
no combing or brushing (my hair shrinks enough I just rock an Afro)

Products:
DC: Silk elements treatment mixed with ORS hair mayo
Shampoo: Cantu Shea soft shampoo or Pantene R&N Breakage defense
Leave ins: Cantu shea butter hair repair or mane and tail Original
Moisturizer: Mane and Tail Strengthener spray or Parnevu T-Tree creme or Optimum oil therapy Hair and scalp formula.

My ultimate hair goal is HBL, I just have to jump this WSL hurdle first!
My regimen in a nutshell:

*CO Wash 1-3 times a week (more in the spring/summer, less in the fall/winter)
*Deep Condition twice a month
*Shampoo/Clarify once a month
*Moisturize Often
*Baggy 3-5 times a week
*Protective/Low Maintenance Styles 90% of the time
*Detangle/Comb only on wash days and Finger Comb in between
*Air Dry 99.99% of the time
*Little to No Heat

That's about it! ;)

Hey Ladies I dont know if this has already been posted b4, But I just want to know what is your Hair goal length and what are you doing to achieve it and through the process what things have you kept the same or what things have you change. List the following:

-Hair regimen:
-vitimans:
-protective styles:
-products:

My intention behind this poll is to hopefully get info and tips on haircare that can help myself as well as others :yep::yep:.
Mid- Back Length I think that length would look sexy on me.:gorgeous:
Hair Regimen
Massage scalp twice a week with cayenne powder put garnier frutis mask on ends or a protein mask. Put on shower cap leave on for an hour. Take off cap, massage moisturizing conditioner in my hair for 5 minutes leave on for five minutes. Rinse out with shampoo. Follow with a moisturing conditioner.
B-complex vitamin and cod liver oil as vitamins
Buns and braids are my protective styles
My products vary too long to list right now

My goal is actually APL. Anything extra is great.

I basically just co wash and dc twice a week. I use MN mixture 3 times a week. I oil my scalp 4 times a week. I'm starting to baggy, want to try to do it everyday. I also drink lots and lots of water.

My main products are by Africa's Best Organics. I use their Carrot Oil, Tea Tree Shine, Hair Mayonnaise. I use Dove's Moisturizing Shampoo and Conditioner. I DC with Queen Helene's Cholesterol.

And if i'm doing a pre shampoo, I use 2 eggs, Honey, and EVOO and let it sit for 2 hours. I love the shine its give me. I've done this twice in the past month.

I use a Bone Comb from Walmart that i love to do rollersets with. I also use Goody's Detangling Comb.

Ultimately I either want MBL or WL. I think I want to grow to WL just to see that I can and then I'll cut it and maintain the length at MBL.

Currently transitioning.

When I am fully natural probably SL unstretched. Maybe CBL. NL.
From what I see now, I will have lots of shrinkage.
I don't even know if my hair will hang. I can't even guess how long that would be stretched.

I voted for tailbone length...I'll be there in about 50-11 years :lachen:

to answer your questions:

-Hair regimen:
DC on dry hair at least 1x per week (preferably twice)
Concentrate on keeping ends in tact
Sleep on satin pillow case and/or tie up hair every night
Maintain moisture/protein balance
scalp massages
Avoiding PJism

-vitamins:

I currently take msm but only for joint health...any extra benefits are appreciated though :yep:

-protective styles:

the only "protective" style I wear is a bun and I have to be careful w/ that because the brushing of my edges causes breakage. I haven't done twists in over a year. It just takes entirely too long and they only look good for the first couple of days anyway :ohwell:

-products:

SAA added to DCs
Nexxus shampoos (aloe rid & diametress)
Cream of Nature poo
Cholesterol conditoner (either Lekair or Hollywood Beauty)
My own moisturizer concoction (avocado butter, shea butter & aloe vera gel)
Castor oil to seal
Various styling products (IC gel, PM round trip, PM the shine etc.)

Amen - I'm in the same boat,:yep:. I used to only want to get to waistlength, but I've made the decision to aim high and try to make it to HBL - I'm 5'11" so who knows how long that'll take:look::rolleyes:

-Hair regimen:

Co-wash every 3 to 4 days
Spritz daily with Leave-in conditioner or distilled water
Deep condition every wash day for at least 20 to 30 minutes
Clarify every 3 to 4 weeks
Henna gloss once a month
Avoid protein conditioners (because of henna)
Protective bun 99.9999% of the time (only flat iron on very special occasions).
Sleep on satin pillow case
Braid hair every night and wrap hair tassle in satin "satchel" (home-made).
Always wash with distilled water (our water is extremely hard)

-protective styles:
Mainly buns or french braids with ends tucked in.
-products:
Suave Coconut conditioner to co-wash
Either Abba Pure Moisture or Biolage Ultra Hydrating Conditioning Balm(love this stuff)
Biolage Daily Tonic as leave-in
No-drip S-curl for NG
Jamila or Yemeni BAQ Henna
Redkin Cleansing Cream to clarify

I think that's it:yawn:.

BSL! I will forever be content with a blunt, thick, fluffy, jet black BSL. If I go past that then fabulous, but I think I'll just trim every relaxer and end up right back at BSL. :lick:

Regimen - Shampoo and Dc once a week
Co-wash once a week after 4 wks post
Airdry and rollerset like it's going outta style
Moisturize every day/other day seal with Jamaican Mango/Lime
Comb hardly ever/baggy when I notice ratty ends or dryness
GNC Nourish Hair plus 600 extra mcg's of Biotin
Mostly pinups
Relax no less than 10 weeks post
Direct heat maybe once every 3 months

My Ultimate Goal is full, thick, even, 100% natural BSL
I should reach BSL with my relaxed ends
& natural roots by end of 2008. Once I'm natural, I don't
know how long it will take to reach BSL Natural... probably
another year... I just want to be a full BSL stretched/straightened.

-Hair regimen: Daily Co-Washing, DC twice a week (45 mins-1 hr), Nightly baggying ends, Daily Scritching w/Rosemary & Peppermint EOs
-vitimans: Silicon & Grape Seed Extract

-protective styles: My signature bun
-products: Suave Humectant & Tropical Coconut, Mane 'n Tail, Giovanni Direct Leave-In, Miss Key 10 en 1, Thai Kitchen Coconut Milk

I am aiming high and shooting for wl :woot:

-Hair regimen: :nervous2:this is a work in progress. Yesterday, I tried a sugar scalp scrub and it felt amazing:love3: :cloud9:. I am working on a regimen, though .
-vitimans: n/a
-protective styles: wearing wigs :love4: and needing to get another one in a much shorter style for the gym.

-products: sugar & PC's daily co(for sugar scrubs);
--for cw's I am using Peter Coppola's daily co
--for deep co I am using Silk2 moistec co layered w/Pantene breakage defense mask
--for clarifying/pooing I use baking soda rinses. My goal is to be no-poo by Jan. 09.
--leave-in; water based moisturizer, and oil sealant)

Current length is layered BSL. At the least I would like to be layered MBL, the most layered WL.
-Hair regimen:

relax 8-10 weeks with affirm lye. affirm 5 in 1 treatment at each touchup

trim as needed, usually every 2-3 relaxers- I don't hang on to bad ends/splits

weekly detangle, prepoo, chelate with diluted poo, dc, rollerset
oil scalp within 24 hours of rollerset(dry/sensitive scalp), nightly scalp massage

collagen/ceramide treatments 1-2 times in a relaxer cycle

2 braids, 2 bantu knots or 2 pincurls at night

-vitimans: omega 3,6,9 blend, kelp, womens multivitamin

-protective styles:loose updo, braid with ends protected, flexi 8, clips,or bobby pins
-products: I have a lot but these I use the most:

prepoo: oils, butters, conditioners alone or mixed with ayurvedic oils

chelating poos:abba molasses purifying, Ion+porosity control, occasional ayurvedic oil cleansing in place of poo.

deep conditioners: Dominicans, Alter Ego garlic tx on scalp weekly, Kenra MC, Keracare deep conditioners(seldom but will still use till gone) (I rotate)

protein/ceramide: Biolage pro4/home cera repair hydratherapie, Emergencia

leave ins
: salerm , alter ego
daily moisturizers: as needed Herbal Essences, Kids shea butter, kids tea tree lotions
sealed with my oil blends.

Changes:

I used to use diluted elucence mb as a leave in with lacio lacio, but since switching to salerm 21 I don't need it. Since finding products that really work for me, I find that I don't need to moisturize as often. Alter Ego Garlic eradicated my shedding issues and the omega blend is keeping my scalp from drying out.I have only lightly oiled my scalp the past two weeks vs. my usual lenzi's or natural oasis on my scalp. Seamless combs keep my ends from having issues, since I rollerset weekly.
