What Is Your Hair Length Goal By December?

With there being 6 months to go I'm aiming for 3-6 inches. Depending on health, weather, vitamins etc. So that should take me to bra strap.

Regardless of the length that you'll be at in 6 months time. Major props to ALL on what you have achieved so far.

It's SO refreshing to hear so many sistahs talking about waist a bra strap lengths.

YOU GO LADIES!!!!

My hair goal is anywhere fom 15- 20 inches. But I will be happy if I have 12. Right now I am at 9-11 inches with the back being the longest. So by December if I am good and doing everything I should be at 14-15 inches. Hope I don't get lazy in the winter time. If not I should be about 13 inches by then.

Gee. Everyone will be at midback to waist length by the end of the year. I feel so bald.

I hope to be at shoulder length by then, but I am really bad at taking vitamins so I probably won't make it. If I keep all of the hair I grow from now to then, I will be at around 10 inches which is nowhere. I need twelve inches for shoulder length.

Hopefully my hair will be mid butt length by December. I have about three inches to go. I think I can do it.

this idea of daily washing and the success people have had and the fact that the numbers people are projecting seem to be several inches makes me feel like with the support of each other and with determination and pray we can all obtain our goals.

i was reading wanakee's pamphlet and while at first i wondered why cathy howse had not agreed with wanakee i can now see why. she said every 6-8weeks you should trim your hair. and so if you get a 1/4 - 1/2 inch per month in 8 weeks you could have grown 1 inch and by 8 weeks if you trim 1/4 inch you will have 3/4 inch of new length and she said you will have 1-1/2 inches of real length in four months. she said to trim before your hair splits and your hair is healthier by being trimmed more often.

something about that i couldnt swallow and when i see the projection of the length people are hoping for it seems amazing compared to how much some systems would have you getting. i get the idea of trimming to keep the hair even, even trying to get rid of damage or split ends but having a scheduled trimming time where you take off almost a month's worth of growth just so your hair wont split doesnt make sense. especially since she advocates protective styling so in theory the protective styles should make the hair less susceptible to splits and damage.

i know i am rambling but when i see the numbers you guys are projecting for december and even for the summer it seems to me that maybe a lot of people on this site seem to know more about taking care of the hair and actual growth and maintenance then the people who sell products and hand out pamphlets.

(these comments were not meant to bash wanakee or her methods. just an observation on her system and how ladies on this board are doing their own methods and having success) God bless ypu all.

My goal is first hair health, I would love my hair to be as thick as Adrienne's by December, it's close, but not quite there. In terms of length bra strap in the front and back is my goal by December. Fingers crossed!

I should be able to make it to bottom of bra strap by then. The hair in back is between my shoulder blades right now. My main concern is making sure it thickens up.

Well I'm hoping to have gotten to waist by then. And sending all the best to all the ladies here trying to reah their goals-b/c we can all make this happen.

For me it's definitely bra strap. I think I'll get most of my growth this summer, so I'm really looking forward to taking care of my hair during these months, then coast until Decemeber.

I got my hair done today and It's really getting longer. If only my last trim hadn't been so generous! :sigh: I still gained about an inch since my last pics tho, just can't get the camera angle right to take current pics. Maybe 'll have someone help me when I get my touch up in two weeks.

I would like to get to bra strap and healthier. I am about 4 inches from bra strap and the way it is growing now I might get the 3 of those by the end of summer-at least I hope so if not I am patient.

Truly overall health is more important than length, just my personal philosophy "healthy hair will grow".

Sweetie

My first goal was to have healthier hair. I have definitely accomplished that. My second goal is to have my hair grow past my shoulders. Currently it is shoudler length in the back. I would love to have it be bra strap but I must say I am skeptical. I still have old misconceptions about my hair growing to certain lengths. I know I get the most length in the summer. So like Tracy I too will be looking forward to summer.

I hope to have my hair just touching the shoulders by Dec 2003. It is currently about 1 inch past my chin. The back grows slightly slower so I hope to gain about 3 inches back there. My hair in in transition right now and is type 4a very dry. I will keep up my newly found hair regime of deep conditioning and braiding to help achieve this goal.

I would love to be at bra strap but I think I'll be at mid shoulder blade. My hair is in braids right now, so once I take them out I can get better take on my projected growth.

I hate my hair. The back of my hair is sooooo long, but the front requires some serious catching up. It's coming along, but it seems as if it's taking forever.

Please don't worry. The way I see it is that if you are around 10 inches by then, you will only need two more inches to reach 12. Plus...hair for most people grow faster in the summer

So cheer up, you will still look great and have that feminine charm

Thanks Lucia,
You have such a positive attitude. I think that's great. Also, I would love to see all women of color as well reach far beyond their expectations

I'm hoping for bra strap length. I'm experiementing with washing/rinsing my hair every day or every other day. I'm am also goin to buy some suggested vitamins this evening (MSM, Biotin, some Hair vitamin) to see if that will help as well. Currently my hair is multiple lengths with the longest being on the sides at 12 inches, mid back at 10 inches and front about 9 inches. I'm currently going into my 8th week of my relaxer and see hardly any growth. I hope this experiment helps me out.

hwell:

Question: Those that take vitamins, do you see an increase in hair growth in unwanted places (i.e., face, chin?)
