That sounds great, I am not there yet, but when I do eat junk food, I do realize am not helping myself or my body,

What I have changes and learnt,
No brushing my hair while its wet,
No nylon brushes,
No shampoo,
Learning to listen to my hair, when before I did not focus on how products affected it, but wondered what was wrong,
Learnt about vitamins, which have really helped,
Ive never really blow dryed, but for heat I do press, not often, I want to do it today, but am doing it less
I dont comb my hair every day, I just braid it up and comb when I need to
Trim when I need to
Got rid of the Pink M
No rub bands
Ive learn how do a bun,

(if that what u want to call it)
Conditioner washes, and what works for me,
Am still learn everyday

There are so many changes that I've implemented you'd probably cringe at all the

things I was doing to my hair.

But for the most important change: I changed my attitude about my hair and am accepting it for how it is and working with it PATIENTLY to make it healthy and obtain and retain as much length as possible.

But if you want the list, I can bring that too...

My #1 change is significantly decreasing the amount of heat I use on my hair. When I first joined the forum, Adrienne encouraged me to cut out the heat and it has worked tremendously (Thanks Adrienne

) My hair has grown out, I have gotten rid of the underprocessed ends and now I dust every couple months as is necessary.

Other changes are:

** Using better products (no more Pink Lotion and grease!)
** Conditioner washing almost every day
** Eating better and taking my vitamins
** Having a better attitude about the beauty of my hair and its condition.

The LHCF has inspired me on so many levels to better hair care. This includes:

*Paying greater attention to my hair
*Getting to know my hair's likes, dislikes, and needs
*Using products better suited to the needs of my hair
*Using weekly deep moisturizing conditioning treatments, and monthly protein treatments
*Investing in a hood dryer and professional rollers
*Investing in tools to style my hair, i.e. detangling comb, paddle brush,
satin scarf
*Learning to wrap set my hair at night
*Getting on a vitamin regimen - for hair and overall health
*Trimming every other relaxer touch up, instead of every touch up - No wonder my hair never seemed to get longer!
*Changing to a more competent hair stylist

BTW: All of the friends I have made has been nice, too!
