I agree with everyone. I am particularly inspired by those ladies with hair past bra-strap. Makes me want to have it again, and I know that it's possible with all the tips I get from this board.

I'm inspired by Adrienne and girls at my school with gorgeous heads of hair. I ask them for their routines and they all say the same thing: keep it moistuized and don't use a lot of heat.

When I see other healthy heads of hair

I think to myself, I can do that too!

I am inspired when I see my inspiration's hair, this girl who sits right across from me in math class. it's so long, and she's been maintaining it at a couple of inches above her waist for quite a while now. When we started HS, about 4 years ago, our hair was the same length, but she obviously had better hair care technique than i did, and look where she is now, and i'm still working on mine. I hope at Graduation, in May 2006, that my hair will be the same length as hers. What a great reward that would be! :)

What inspires me is seeing BabyGurl's album. December 24 will be a year of hair care for me and I am exactly where she was at a year going into year two. When I get tired or frustrated I take a look at her portfolio. Thanks Babygurl! ;)

That leela james cd cover is so inspiring.that s my main inspiration be able to have full long hair for my own cover i would be deeeeeeeelighted oups i also add lauryn and erika badu full hair too

This forum inspires, me all the ladies that were brave enough to post their pictures and the progress, just blows my mind every day and for the first time in my life I believe I will have long, shiny, healthy flowing hair inspite of what I been told all my life and I am so glad that I have the pictures to prove that I did it all. I will also help someone else do it as well. Who ever thought of the ideal I hope their life is blessed always. I also don't feel so alone in the world its really awesome knowing their are so many women trying to grow their hair and have so many questions about so many products and so much more information. I am so glad I am on here, I really am.

What has inspired me was stumbling across the growafrolong Website and hearing the hair ladies testimony. Before then, I couldn't careless about hair but, she got me to thinking. I have only been interested in growing longer hair for about 1 month now.

She made me to want to grow afro hair long by being so positive, her before and after pictures (I mean she went from shoulder length hair to waist length hair in 2 years) and her telling me that I can do it to. Also, all the free info helped me to want to try it and it helped me to learn a skill that I never knew I had, the art of extension braiding. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Yep, that was my very first hair website almost a year ago. I learned about the LHCF through Robin's hair site. I hope that all is well with Robin. I read that one of the recent hurricanes affected her. I hope things are okay now. She had always been available and ready to answer any of my questions (many on the same day). Truly a gem. :) I currently use some of the crown & glory method for my sew-ins. They work tremendously in obtaining and maintaining hair growth.

me too, what REALLY got me started doing the RIGHT things, was the GrowAfroHairLong website. I had attempted to grow it out myself and it did grow but I was doing the wrong things still and didnt know how to properly airdry or anything... i found LHCF a week after I found GrowAfroHairLong, and i've made great progress ever since :)

I am more inspired to keep my hair care in check when I see damaged hair. But, I am also inspired by seeing long, healthy hair because that is a goal that I am trying to maintain.

I've had a lifetime of neglecting/mistreating my hair. But it still grew. The final straw was when a stylist relaxed my hair AFTER permanently coloring it 2 weeks earlier. I went from 3 inches past shoulder to less than 1/2. I thought my hair would never grow back, but it has. Now I want to see what my hair would be like after a few years of pampering and good hair products.

I am motivated by the wonderful ladies here who post pictures and provide great information!!!

What inspires me the most is seeing the ladies on this board and all the other hair boards...with healthy beautiful hair...whether it would be long or short, relaxed or natural...seeing them motivates me to work 10x harder towards my goals and to know that someday, i'll make it there too.

What inspired me was when I experienced major breakage and shedding from highlights, I became determined to take better care of my hair. After searching on the website, I came across this site and it has truly been a godsend - getting advice and insights from all the ladies and viewing the member albums who've managed to growth healthy heads of hair!

id have to say what inspires me is the reaction of people around me..the other day i finally received my chi..i straightened my hair right up and i got stares all day..

my boyfriend, who never comments on that kinda stuff- at least ways not with a commotion that huge saw my hair and he was like wow..and was all shocked...he seemed to really like it...it comes now to about three-four inches above my waist..and thats the longest its been in my life..i was so shocked!! thats definitely my inspiration now...just reactions...tells me im doing something right and from having weeks of fuzzy head..yesterday was a good day!!!

Seeing nice hair inspires me.
Seeing people with damaged hair doesn't inspire me at all, just makes me think "she really needs a cut".
