What Has Contributed To Your Hair Growth...

-shampooing and conditioning daily
-air drying
-no heat
-baggying at night
-protective styles during the day
-no trimming (retaining healthy length despite that)
-drinking lots of water
-supplements (super B-complex, GNC Ultra Nourishair)
-stretching touch-ups
-no salons/no stylists
-a healthy scalp (no longer dry, thanks to flaxseed oil)

Conditioning washes with Elucence MBC daily, Elucence Moisturizing shampoo 2x's per week, deep conditioning with Motions CPR weekly, daily applications of Jason Natural Pleasure Oils Massage Oil on dripping wet hair,(a surprising discovery, oils usually dry my hair out and make it stiff and sticky, this keeps my roots straight and silky and my ends moisturized).A super absorbent towel for drying, and drinking 8 glasses of water a day, a multi-vitamin, a protective style, and NO HEAT.

I can't be certain what contributed the most to hair growth but I have noticed I've gotten great softness and less breakage since I started using the Elucence products. The protective style with no heat helps significantly also.

*Eating right (vegetables, fruits, etc...)

*Taking my vitamin/supplements everyday
*Using organic/natural products in my hair
*Washing my hair on a regular basis - at least 3 times a week
*SCALP MASSAGES
*Exercise
*Getting sunshine
*Getting enough sleep
*Prayer and trying to maintain a positive attitude:yep:

Treating my hair like a fine thread of silk. Yes, being gentle with my hair has really helped. I stopped seeing breakage as normal - I know it's normal, but I guess I stopped being as accepting of it and realized that I can prevent it for the most part. I never used to bat an eyelid if my hair snapped while combing, now even one strand snapping will make me cringe. I really take my time when I'm detangling, styling etc. No-one else (apart from my mother) seems to have the patience to treat my hair this way, so I don't let anyone else touch my hair. No siree.

Essentially, I think my mindset shifted from being about growth to being about retention.
