i used Le kair - Castor Oil - excellent pomade, smells beauutiiffulll and it moisturizes SOOOO well!!

also La India - Miracle pomade - makes hair grow very fast, and also smells delicious. Used throughout the summer, its good stuff!

also, does ANYBODy use Keracare Oil Moisturizor with jojoba??? i think i'm the only one on the board who uses this as part of my regime!!! this stuff is a good send, i really believe its one of the best daily moisturizors on the market!!

I thought i'd start this thread as there are plenty of unknown goodies, that we dont mention. The big names have taken over!

what do you use on your hair that has benefitted but doesn't seem to be used by anyone else on the board?

I use the Keracare w/Jojoba Oil on occasion, but I prefer the Keracare Essential Oils.

I also like Natural Oasis hair oil...haven't heard that mentioned too much on here.

Kan Kanechomn Jaborandi and Lisshidrat Conditioners from Sickbay.

They are the BOMB and have helped me stretch on more than one occasion. Plus, the jars are so HUGE that the conditioners last forever, even if you're heavy handed like me. :)

Pantene Smoothing Comb In Treatment (Nice creamy leave-in)
SoftSheen Carson Breakthru Shampoo (Great detangling)
Culture 7 Day Relaxer (Helps to detangle)

Bronner Bros Foam Moisturizing Wrapping Lotion (I use it for roller sets).

why don't yall tell where the items are bought??

for the infamous rollerset i hear only lottabody mentioned....where is the bronner bros. foaming wrap lotion found? regular b.s.s. stores?? anywhere online??

my thing now since i am cutting back on ordering is liv creme hairdressing and conditioner....i have used this off and on as a relaxed head...it quit workin for me a few mths before i decided to transition tho...i rediscovered it when trying to come up with an cheaper alternative to curly buttercreme...

wayyyyyyyyy cheaper...some of the same basic ingredients....and i dont have to pay for shipping...5.00 compared to 42-48 for buttercreme...keep in mind i didnt use buttercreme for curls but to moisturize and give me a straightish look with a brush and/or blowdryer...liv does the same thing...

found in sally's and most local b.s.s.

I bought it at either K-Mart or CVS, but I'm sure the BSS has it, too. It's funny cause I only bought it because it was the only mousse-type product the store had that didn't have alcohol in it - now it's a staple. It contains olive oil, glycerin, and propylene glycol (and a mess of chemicals :lol) so I don't have to moisturize separately, either.

Here's an online link: http://www.generalbeautysupply.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=1133

Salerm Wheat Germ Oil Moisturizing Mask. It's great softening deep conditioner. I know some people here use it but I haven't seen them on the boards lately.

I use to use this before I started my transition, it really is the bomb!

I saw these on sickbay not too long ago and they looked pretty interesting. Which of the 2 do you prefer?

i luv le kair natural shea butter cholesterol creme. it leaves my hair really soft and its great for a blowout too.

I love Wanakee Oil for the Hair. It gives a really natural shine and it has no smell whatsoever.

HotPepper girl, I'm with you on the Pantene comb ins.

I love mine and even started a thread to get the 411 out--but I guess folks just don't trust Pantene, cause not many have responded.

I love Breakthru Shampoo!

uhm... usually I always complain and whine about the fact that france is invaded with Dark & lovely and that I have no choice than to make due with their products. though I'm trying to find higher quality products, I don't think I could do without the d&l leave-in conditioner. it's half watery, half creamy and my hair really really likes it. It softens it like nobody's business, but if you put too much of it, your hair might become a bit limp.

You know what, I've heard alot of people don't like this shampoo because of the cones but I need those cones. I can't use too many shampoos. KeraCare Detangling & this one are the only two that detangle my hair. And now I don't even use KeraCare at all.

Pantene Extra Liso Intensive Treatment
Africa's Best Organics Strengthening Hair Polish with Tea-Tree Shine
ORS Olive Oil Wrap/Set Mousse

I Love the Hollywood Beauty Hair Oils: Olive and Carrot...

If you look at the ingredients it is good stuff:
Soybean Oil, Safflower Oil, Olive Oil, Tocopherol Acetate (Vitamin E), Matricaria Extract (Chamomile), Calendula Extract, macadamia Nut Oil, Coconut Oil, and then Parabens (for preservation I guess) and some dyes for color.... THis is the Oilve Oil BTW, I finished my carrot oil and threw the bottle away...

I could not live without Lekair Cholestoral. I buy at least 5 tubs at a time.

Kemi Oyl- was popular back in the day

Paul Mitchell The Conditioner

Paul Mitchell Foaming Pommade

Luster Pink oil conditioning gel

Avalon Organics products (like the shampoos and conditioners--Lemon Clarifying is a favorite)

Kiss My Face Upper Management gel

Vitale Intense Treatment- a good reconstructor with tingle for scalp
Cornrow Magic Cornrow Creme-gives dull braids a nice shine plus moisture
9en1 dominican conditioner and rinse-great slip helps with dandruff

These two come to mind:

1. The complete herbnlife line: especially the crown heights oil blend.
2.Silk Elements Revive and Restore Root Penetrating Oil (Believe it or not this stuff KILLS the mtg smell. . .experimented with a sample from my homegirl. Smelled like bacon going in, smelled like revive and restore coming out). The other stuff in this line sucks big time. The closest thing to an exception would be the stimulating shampoo. Sally's had samples for a buck.

IC Moisturizing Treatment. I soak my buns in it every night (umm, that doesn't sound right).
