I think I may be getting laid off from my student job because of budget cuts in my department. :(

That means I really need to use everything I got, or anything that I will be buying has to be cheap, cheap, and more cheap.

Which sucks because I love my Aveda DR, luckily, I have enough to last me a while, but I am still needing the conditioner (if anyone would like to sell me the conditioner for a low price holla at me:lol: ).

But anyways, I am glad I found some cheap staples such as CON poo/con and Kemi Oyl. And I got enough to last me through a drought.

Ps: Can yall say a little prayer for me and my job, I really loved that job. That was the only job where I can sit on LHCF all day without anyone saying a word.:look:

I'm sorry to hear that about your job :perplexed. I understand how great it is to have a cushy student worker position. I'm typing this from work myself :look:.

But I'm glad that you found some cheap products that work well for you. I never knew, until LHCF, how great VO5 conditioners could be (for pre-poos and conditioner washes), and they're so cheap.

ETA: I'll say a prayer for you about your job.

I'm sorry about your job.

But, did you know that Aveda employees get a 75% discount?! Maybe you can get a job there.

Sorry about your job hun. :( Budget cuts always take away the best things. Have you thought about trying to find a job in another dept on campus? Pretty much all the office jobs let you be on the internet all day and pay you to do nothing. I had quite a few while I was at Maryland. I actually found LHCF surfing the web at my last campus job.

Hey Yall I'm being positive about it. Thanks for all the wonderful posts.

I'm just in need to a good reconstructor that won't break my pockets.

Anyone know if Duo Tex can be mixed with a moisturizing conditioner?

MizaniMami,

I just PM'ed you!

I'm really sorry to hear this! I know you love Aveda. The cheapies are good, too, though. BTW, how do you like CON's conditioner? Good luck!

sorry to hear about that job... but that seems like the story in many schools these days.

in many depts at my alma mater, they dont hire student workers. instead, they choose "resident" employees (i.e. you work and get a tuition credit instead of being paid)

I agree about the cheapies being good. Its some girls on this board with lovely hair, and the products they use are some good cheaper brands. Dont worry girl, everything will be ok.:p

Hey Hey girlie,

Sorry to hear about they job. You find some cheaper good products I know!! So updates us. Huggles. ;)

Aww man! Im sorry to hear that. :( I'll definitely keep you in my prayers.... i know how stressful and scary the prospect of being laid off can be.

Im glad you had the foresight to stock up on some of your fav. products beforehand! :) I tend to do the same, with my vitamins and mtg and stuff.... order a lil extra when i have the money.
