Hey ladies! i just made a website to track my progress to waist length for the next two years...check it out, and tell me what you think....:)

You can count me in for the challenge. I just colored my hair on Thursday, so it will be easy for me to keep track of my growth. I will try to update my Fotki sometime this week so you guys can see the color and the current length (I had a serious trim being that I put the color in, I didnt want my ends to break off)

Okay I just measured and I am about 4 or 5 inches away. Ill try and post my photos in the album soon.

Glad to see this thread again...I got really excited reading back through the posts. Lots of motivated ladies. Does anyone know if DSD's Tshirts measure past brastrap? I think I may blow the dust off my paypal account and buy one...

I want to be in also!!! my hair is currently 2 to 3 inches from brastrap. I am aiming for the beginning of 2007, It may happen sooner!!! Hopefully I will not have any set backs.
 
hey ladies... wow a lot of you joined!! i havent been on LHCF in a WEEK! we had a hurricane here in Miami and my power went out since mid-last week. i'm at the library right now. I hope to have electricity tonight or tomorrow... hopefully...

anyway, hair talk: I got a touch-up on Sunday after 13 weeks... funny thing though, my roots are texturized, they're not fully straight. i HATE touch-ups! not only that, but I had a good amount of breakage afterward, and that sucked... my hair does not like perms. I created this DETAILED regimen of what i'm going to do to my hair EVERY DAY of the week. I'm on a personal bun/no heat/no trim/no dust challenge, lol. Sounds like a lot but I want some length, darn it, :lol:

Length-wise right now, it seems like i'm at 23" b/c i measured with a different bra this time, and the strap is at 23"... i do think i might have to do a trim though, about 1/2" but im not sure yet... surprisingly i'm not even too excited b/c i'm having breakage, it's not a lot, but it's there because i didn't have it before, just shedding.

well i will post pictures as soon as the power is back on at my house, and I will post my new hair care regimen and my *potential* exercise regimen.

I hope everything is going great for the rest of you! Grow girls, grow! :)

ETA: I will probably update every two months or something.
What I'm planning to do for now hairwise- I'm going over to the fully relaxed side in 2 weeks. I will probably start vitamins again in September also, will be surging, and the regular wash/condition/treatments thing.

:look: I'd like to go along on the carpet ride and see where this takes me. Huge challenge for me b/c I'm not even near bra strap.

Question for u ladies: what do you consider waistlength?

I'm seeing a difference of opinion on the board so I just wanna make sure.

I always thought when your hair reaches the smallest part of your waist(the curve), then you are considered waistlength.

Any thoughts?

Yes, I consider waist length the smallest part of your waist.
 
hey Lovechic, thanx for the note; the power came back on last night but i still haven't taken pix yet... i probably will tomorrow or something because i was supposed to wash my hair tonight, but i have a lot of homework and that's what i'm doing now *cough: and on LHCF, lol* but i think i'll cowash tonight anyway, cuz my scalp is itching like crazy from sweating at practice.

Cookie507, are you seventeen??? since your 19th bday is in two years... if you are, I'M SEVENTEEN TOO! it'd be pretty fun to meet someone on here who's my age, and in the same challenge too, how cool :D

heyyy mannn im not the youngest on this board lol...cookie and carlita..lol im 19...i didnt even know there was anyone around our age group on this board! lol..here i am soundin like an old head..hahaha wellll im turning 20 at the end of september so i guess i am an old head now hahaha

ps: subscribing seems easiest im thinking...although i wish we could do one of them sticky things or make a section for all the lhcf challenges you know? that would be the best way to keep up but i wouldnt even know how to ask for that! lol
