For me I definetly think it increased my growth rate I got an inch this month and it reduced breakage.(I don't really shed maybe 2 hairs a day max with the bulb) The funny thing is when you start this and airdrying your hair looks like crap because you are used to seeing it "finished", but over time you can really see the condition of your hair improving. For example when I started my hair used to frizz but now it curls and it is better moisturized as a whole.

Hi LD
wave.gif
. I just stopped with the daily rinsing abut 2 weeks ago and started back up with weekly roller sets
trampoline.gif
. Anyway, my hair did thicken up a lot when I was doing the daily rinsing for the past 6 months. I also gained more length too, but the comb outs were NOT very fun because I think that I was losing TOO much hair, so I stopped. The shedding seemed worst for me while doing this

.

I just also got tired of airdrying too because my hair,(especially the ends)were too darn frizzy! It made me want to get out the scissors and start cutting

!

Anyway, I tried it, I gave my hair a break from heat styling, I thought I liked it, but I didn't.

By the way, if anyone knows of good ways or products to detangle wet hair PLEASE let me know! It seems SO hard for me. I've tried the serums, but the closer I get to needing a retouch, the worst it gets to detangle, and the serums/conditioners don't help much . Should I add the whole bottle

? I don't know how you girls with bra strap and waist length hair do it. I know it must be a pain! Any ideas are welcome. Thanks.

Since I started daily rinsing a little over a month ago I have grown a little over an inch of hair. It was a pain at first, but then I really noticed how the condition of my hair started changing. My experience is very similar to what Cutebajangirl said, it frizzed up like crazy in the beginning but now it curls much better and is soooo moisturized!

Babychoc- My hair detangles really well when I do deep moisturizing conditioners and hot oil treatments w/evoo. With the cond. wash I leave the conditioner on for at least 10 minutes before rinsing. The tangles drop right out. I have been using Kerastase Masquintense, god, I love that stuff but it is expensive or LUST. I am sure others here have suggestions. Also are u using a wide tooth comb with soft rubber teeth when detangling? I find that to be effective as well.

HTH!

It's still working for me!

Have you tried Pantene Smooth & Sleek Conditioner or one the VO5 conditioners? A good spray detangler I found in the back of my cabinet is African Royale Braid Spray. It might be a little too slippery for relaxed hair, though...

Well, I am taking my cornrows/braids out this tuesday. They will have been in for a month. I have been rinsing with water everyday, and puting on the worlds of curls, and my hairs seems to have grown about 1 inch in the back, and 1/2 inch in the front. This is alot of growth for me. and the new growth is so soft. So i really like this method.

I rinsed daily for about 2 weeks and noticed that my hair was soooo soft. I ran out of distilled water and didn't get to the store for awhile, but I got some more a few days ago and put it in an empty S-curl bottle. Now I spray my hair everyday. I am on day 3 and again, soft, SOFT hair.

I've been doing the daily rinses with conditioners, but now that I have the braids I do it maybe every two days.

I love daily rinsing. My edges and nape area have gotten so long. My hair overall has grown so much. And with the aid of coconut oil, I was able to go 12wks before relaxing.

I've been doing the daily rinsing and conditioner washes for some time now, and my hair really loves it. It makes a world of difference than using shampoo and rinsing in hard water. Soft, moisturized hair makes the difference, and using soft water improves on the hair as well. As far as length goes, since my hair is natural, I've gained a few inches of growth from the rinsing and conditioner washes. And I always refill my empty gallon jugs with distilled water when I go to the grocery store. I've used up one gallon, and now I'm on my second of my four gallons. I'll need to get some more. I don't think my hair can resist the urge to get soft and moist without it. lol.

I'm still trying to find somewhere in london that I can get the distilled water. For now I'm using H-TWO by ElastaQP which works excellent.

H-Two: Lightweight leave-in conditioner for thermal protection and incredible shine while making hair soft and manageable.

I love this stuff. I either use it on damp hair to comb out tangles or to soften my hair. I just sprayed a lil on my hair as it was feeling a little dry. It's a spray bottle, liquid leave in conditioner. With Purified water as the main ingredient. It's very cheap also.

This sounds good. Since I live in Indianapolis, Elasta Products is a popular name here. I'll purchase it when I go to the beauty supply store. Thanx, LD.

I've stopped the daily rinsing and am only doing it about every two/other days. This hard water wasn't making it easy for me and I despise going to bed with wet hair. *sighs*

I have been doing the frequent washings (3-5 times a week) for about 3 weeks. I did see an increase of growth. I liked the fact that I could change my hair style regularly and I take pride in the fact that I can style my own hair. Unfortunately, I had a terrible set back this weekend. I decided to go to the hair dresser and get a touch-up. The touch-up turned out wonderful, however, I decided I should probably get a trim. Why Why Why. I had trimmed it myself about 1-2 weeks ago but thought I need to get it professionally done. Well needless to say. I went to the hair dresser with 12 inches and 11 weeks of growth - (I'd say at least 1-1 1/2 inches of growth) I came out of there with 10 inches of Hair!!!! I don't know what I was thinking trusting this lady to trim my hair. And this is what she said b4 she started trimming "I'm only going to trim a little" -- A little to me would have been 1/2 of an inch. In some ways it was my fault for not speaking up telling her to only trim 1/2 of an inch or less. So it may take me a little longer to get to my bra strap goal now. I was so so close .. only about 3 inches away and now I'm about 5-6 inches away!!! .. I'm still in SHOCK!!!

i dunno about ths daily rinsing thing. that is too much manipulation, combing and temptation to use heat styling instead of airdrying. i would probably loose all the hair i get from daily wetting through breakage and shedding with the manipulation and combing. i have been washing every other day and evn then i am rethinking to go back to once a week.

I've been daily rinsing faithfully for the past 2 months and I have finally learned something about my hair: It loves moisture!! My hair AND scalp just love moisture. I haven't been measuring how much it has grown but I do notice a difference in the overall appearance and texture of my hair. It just looks so much healthier and thicker and much more moisturized!! Not to mention it is soooo soft!!! I can't wait to see the results I achieve by the end of the summer!!

Well you are doing better than me with the every other day. How are you handling manipulation now? My fear is that my already shedding hair would start to come out in clumps if I did this. I think I better get a handle on this shedding before I try this new endeavor.

I'm also natural and rinse or conditioner wash everyday now. At first I thought it would be to much but my hair loves it, it is so soft and very easy to comb. It has made a tremendous difference in texture, growth and thickness. I'm going to try and rinse evryday until the end of the summer

I keep saying in my head I will try this out but I never do. I may just try it. I have a question though and i am almost 100% sure I asked this question before and got an answer but my mind is drawing a blank now.

When you guys rinse do you just wet your hair and then apply a leave in conditioner or oils or etc. or do you actually shampoo/condition or do you condition wash? the first one is sounding like something i could do more frequently maybe 2x a week and then get a regular wash and set once a week. i would like the growth and the healthier hair so i am just curious. God bless you all.

most people the one you stated last. Just a conditioner wash. Wet the hair and use the conditioner in the same way you would use shampoo. The goal is also to clean your scalp. So wash with conditioner, rinse, apply your leave-ins, and style.

see i prefer that method. i was thinking of a condition wash and using a light conditioner followed by a deep conditioner then a leave in. but then i saw peachtree just use a light conditioner (VO5) and rinse out and use a leave in and oil and i was like wow. that would save a lot of time for me. i was hoping to do this on mornings and just put the hair in a bun and go but i didnt want to spend 3 hours doing all these steps. God bless you all.

London Diva, you can use bottled water, which you can get from the supermarket, 5 litres is 99p in Tesco to rinse your hair, which will be softer on your hair. I started rinsing on a regular basis again, and your hair does feel thicker. I have my hair in flat twists, my hair styles usually lasts me about a five to seven days and it is getting hotter and I exercise more often I rinse at night.

I usually open the shower and pour water over my hair for at 2-3 minutes, then I do a conditioner wash, rinse using the shower and then I pour bottled water for my final rinse. I have been quite pleased with the results and I smooth down any hairs with aloe vera gel.

Azul, I have a 50 ml bottle and I put about a teaspoon of conditioner, then I add some bottled water and I shake up the conditioner to dissolve it, then I add bottled water to fill up my container, then I pour it over my hair and wrap a towel around my hair and have a shower, the conditioner is working, when I have finished my shower, I rinse my hair in the shower, then I pour over my hair a prepared rinse bottle, containing, 1 teaspoon of powdered MSM, glycerine, rosewater, one capful of long and strong or infusium 23, aloe vera gel and some castor oil, pour some bottled water in my container to throughly dissolve my contents, then fill up my bottle, that is poured over my hair for the final rinse. Then I wrap a towel around my head and leave it for 10-15 minutes, then I remove the towel and smooth down any hair with aloe vera gel. Also rinses for your hair can be herbal ones, such as rosemary, chamomile, horsetail, nettle, make a herbal tea, wait until it is cool, then add glycerine, rosewater and the other ingredients and you can pour that over your hair instead.
