You guys are the absolute COOLEST. I posted mostly because of the color change and what I got was an ego boost!

I had been feeling really down about my hair. Whether it looks so or not in these pics it's really not itself at all

and I was hoping I wouldn't be set too far back in my progress - even though I knew I was being reckless when I was dumping box after box of color on my head.

To see all these nice responses made me smile.

Bim - Bigen is for relaxed and natural hair.

Keylargo - Not much difference than before except I'm conditioning it like CRAZY! I walk around with my hair slathered with conditioner in a bun for hours every single day (there are some benefits to being unemployed!

) almost and even when it's not there's 2 or 3 leave ins and oils in it. I rarely dry it anymore to straighten it because it's very unruly, hard to manage and doesn't fall or bounce right because of the elasticity loss. So no heat by default. And I'm rarely careful with it, because the slightest twitch and I literally hear my hair TEARING in the ponytail holder, TEARING inside the clip, TEARING as I put a comb/brush/pin in it.

I guess all the looking crazy (I don't think the landscapers would recognize me without my hair in a bun full of conditioner) and stressing about it is doing some good after all.

And that tan is due to - that's right, Blax - the GOOD OLD CAROLINA SUNSHINE!

I love the South! I just wish they had some Dominicans here. I need an good ole Broadway wash and set.
