Hey Liz! Okay I can't find the 365 thread...so here it is:

1. I wash my hair twice a week - depending on my schedule and my mood I either rollerset once at home and once at the salon or I airdry the time I wash at home. I usually see the salon once a week tho - on the $10 day usually to cut down on cost. At the salon they wash and set and blow my roots only (unless I have a function or something and I w ant ultra straight hair). I home I just rollerset and wrap.

2. Most of the time I use a protein, moisture, moisture, moisture routine on a 2 week schedule - so if I wash twice a week the first wash in the two week time frame is a protein conditioner and the other three are moisture.

3. Productwise - my staples right now are Lanza Protein Plus shampoo, Kenra Mois. Cond., my recent new love Redken Butter Treat, and if I'm using protein - Elasta QP Breakage Control Serum. I have other favs - but these are my most recent staples. I'm a bit of a product whore though - so when you read that I'm using something different - don't be suprised...

I always use Salerm 21 Leave In for the past 3 months - ever since I discovered it.

4. I wear my hair in protective styles about 75% of the time now - which means I just throw it up in a claw clip - nothing fancy, contrived, or tight. I feel like my head is in a vice when I do a bona fide bun.

5. I moisturize my ends daily with an old fav - Dudley's PCA Moisture Retainer and a serum - usually Smooth and Shine Light Serum.

I recently tried Salerm Ends Restructurizing Treatment - and have been enjoying that as well - not sure if it's a staple yet though.

Besides that I relax every 8 weeks with whatever relaxer I've decided on for that touch up - I still have yet to find a relaxer that works well on me. They love me, then they leave me...and so it goes...

I also color - though I haven't recently - the last permie color jobs were in October.....I've taken a break so I can get highlights in the Spring.

The color you guys see are all gone - much to my chagrin.

What else....

I only take Biotin,, B5 and Fish Oil as far as vits. Lots of vits don't work for me and they don't produce the results they are meant to - so I stick with the ones that work. My chemistry is screwy enough as it is.

Tracy,

Where did all that hair come from??? I want to know. Did you have a sudden growth spurt or what. The difference between Oct. '03 and Jan. '04 is tremendous. Great JOB!!!

Maybe DL...

Maybe it was all the peroxide...

I could have sworn my hair was FALLING out in Sept, Oct, and Nov......but I agree it certainly doesn't reflect that. That's why I'm glad I took Adrienne's advice and took pics...

I had planned to cut my hair and everything. After I saw it objectively (looking at a pic and not in the mirror) I changed my mind.

Thanks again everyone.

Jen Jen - which color do you mean - the really really red one? Or the more bronze one...girl it was a process all around. I'll explain when I get out of class.

I was referring to the really red one in your Oct. 2003 pics.

In that one it was Sebastian Cinnamon (rinse), on top of T&T Bronze, on top of T&T lightest blond, on top of highlights.

What a lucky outcome! Do you think you'd ever be able to duplicate it? In other words, do you think someone like me could get that color?
grin.gif

You could certainly come very close - all you'd need to do was permie color and a rinse. All the intermediate steps were experiments. I keep tellin' y'all - I'm JUST a daredevil - or an idiot - depending on who's asking.

I hope to make progress like yours this year! Beautiful hair! Congratulations on your success!

Jen correction - I gave you the results of the summer coloring - BEFORE I darkened it to black, tried to tweak THOSE results with rinses and then lightened it AGAIN. The results you see in October are after everything else I said - with black demi-perm on top (the September pics) a dark brown rinse on top of that and then a TRY at RE-lightening using T&T lightest blond. If you were to use T&T in a dark red and then put a dark auburn rinse over it (just for shine and tone), you could probably achieve this color quite easily with far less damage than any blond would cause.

Reading through this for typos I realized what an ABSOLUTE psycho I am. It's a wonder I have any hair at all!

Tracy:

Your hair is absolutely lovely! I love the reddish color. In fact, your hair was one of the first one's I saw when I joined LHCF!

Please explain your regimen; products used. That much growth in one year is amazing! What are you doing, chile???
