Look at that tan!!! And the gorgeous hair! If two weeks from now we hear one Elvira joke like the last time I'm a gonna

Your hair looks really healthy and shiny Tracy...the thickness is amazing for someone who always says she has thin hair
smile.gif
..you did good on the cut

It's getting better on the thickness tip. It's more fine than it is thin right now... I think the tan helps with me NOT feeling like Elvira this time - so I'm grateful for it. By winter I'll be used to the color on my face and it won't feel as stark as it did last time. I love the South - I don't have to walk more than 5 minutes to get to a poolside chair and all the sun I could hope for! I feel like I went to Cancun and I just keep getting darker!

wow!!! nice hair, nice tan!!!!
What are you coloring your hair with Sebastian's right? or is that permanant color?
Anyway, both colors look great on you!

Your hair looks really healthy. I have admired your hair since I came here. The colour and consistency of your hair are awesome!!

Aww, you look so cute in your new pics! I wish I were as brave as you with all that color... That copperish/auburn was fierce!

Your hair is absolutely beautiful.

Looking good Tracy, I can hardly tell you chopped off two inches (which is a good thing). I love dark hair too.

Ummmm, Tracy, dear....

please take no more trips down the hair color aisle, at least for the rest of the summer.

You hair looks great as always
smile.gif
, super healthy and wonderfully full. And when you have a moment my dear would you please write an informative post, instructing us on hair trimming. You try that modest mode, but you're over there cutting layers and doing it well!

Thanks guys. I had to bite the bullet and go dark. the damage was just too obvious with my hair light. Because I'm in TLC mode and don't want to lose anymore length, I decided to even everything up and just focus on health. I'll still color, but I'll stay dark at least until the bulk of the old color is cut out. I've trimmed enough for a while, so I'll take another look in a few weeks (8? 12?) and see if I need more.

In the meanwhile, going dark limits my need to touch up the color so often and I can color every 4- 6 months instead of every 6 weeks. It will require far less maintenance as far as color touch ups go. I used Bigen, ccd...in Rich Medium Brown. It's mostly a dark brown with some auburn highlights mixed in. I ran out of color (after using 2 boxes!!!) when I was almost done so I missed a few spots but I won't need to recolor for a while because of the way it came out.

I chose Bigen because I knew it would adequately cover the color without too much of an assault on my hair. I was even afraid to use Natural Instincts because my hair is so weak.

SG actually inspired me to go dark again. Seeing her May trim pics and how healthy her hair looked had me longing for a sheet of shiny, dark, HEALTHY looking hair. Hopefully, this will allow me to focus on stretching my relaxer and taking care of my hair instead of toning down brassiness and correcting color loss from the sun and the pool.

You look great with dark hair and auburn and blonde and everything!
smile.gif
Your trim and layers are awesome, much better than some licensed stylists

Aww Tracy don't be too hard on yourself. I think the cut went well, and it's not as bad as you think. Aren't you glad though that you can cut and still be at a good length, most of us are clawing to get to that point girlie!

Okay, everybody is flooding your page now so I can't quote directly. But you mentioned a measurement and I'm wondering if it's from crown to ends or hairline?

I'm very grateful Skee...very. I should have NO hair by now, but it jsuts keeps hanging in there with me so I figured it was time to give it some love. I actually am pretty proud of the cut since I wanted a very specific amount taken off in certain areas. I was able to achieve that myself without losing any unnecessary length and now I can work on damage control. I'm happy overall. But I can't WAIT to get a real trim. I'll probably be home at Christmas and I'll see if I can get one then....I wish I could wait that long to relax! I may have to do THAT myself too.

Tracy, your hair is shiny and gorgeous! I love the T&T bronze, makes me want to experiment with color but I'm so scared! Your hair must be pretty strong to withstand the dyeing.

19 inches Sengs...hairline to ends.
smile.gif
I always wondered why my measurements were so off as compared t everyone else's...I thought I was measuring wrong.

People measure from the CROWN, dingbat.

Tracy,

I'm going to tell you this one time. Stay away from the color!

I just realized that you colored your hair again. I must admit it looks good darker but I still love ya in the reddish auburn category. Great job with the trim. You'll be back to brastrap length in no time flat.

No more BSS visits for you missy! Your on color/dye punishment!
