Im SMDH at these posters who are questioning OP's account of things. If you take the time to read, several of us have co-signed on the utter BS that occurs at SU. And furthermore, if youre giving the side eye to OP's story, you can polite choose to KIM. Im just saying. Some of ya'll are on some bull...

really? hmmm i think there is a difference between me speaking to/hugging one of his/my guys friends and someone pulling my hair so hard i dang near fall off a piece of exercise equipment. But like you said if i wasnt being a heaux i wouldnt have been in this situation. I should have uglied myself up to protect myself. Please go troll somewhere else, you are really wearing out my sarcasm limit for today.

and as for transferring to LSU, LSU was the first school i applied to and couldnt afford to go to. And with tuition going up among other things, im stuck here..



OH! and just to give you an update on the situation at school, last night there were THREE different fights around the dorms and two nights ago i got maced walking outside of my suite due to a fight. If you dont believe me come to the school for one night and see or KIM.

Why are you in a college like this? Really now? You are treading through a warzone. Its not worth all the psychological stress. I would really, really consider transferring. The guy who yanked you off the exercise bike is not your only problem - it looks like you'll encounter this kind situation again because the whole school seems to have culture of violence.

I have to repeat my disgust over posters like that. I think she thinks that you let your guy friends touch you so that makes some random stranger feel that it's ok to assault you. I can't explain craziness like that. But I'll say it again.

You did the right thing. You handled yourself well in that situation. You should feel proud that you stood up to this negro when a lot of women would and have condoned his actions! They literally let them smack the butts and feel them up without confronting them! But even without your bodyguards you stood up to him and wouldn't let him get away with his behavior. I am VERY proud of you.

As for your situation on campus, hmmm....

Do you think you could transfer to another state school, black white or otherwise, and get financial aid to pay for room and board? The distance will suck less if you have a roof over your head. In the mean time keep your grades up high and get involved so you can qualify for some good scholarships so you can get the H out of there. You deserve a LOT better. And a school like that will not have the career opportunities that others have. You may never get a good job just because of your school's reputation. Don't let that place hurt you more than it already has.
 
How can you properly learn in an environment like that? I would not be able to flourish academically at a school like that, just being real.
