I've been slacking on taking pics of my progress!

A few days ago I was preparing to DC and decided to take a few..I think I'm a 4a/b mix with maybe some 3/c around the edges but it's hard to take clear pics of just hair. Looks like a big field of squirmy fuzz no matter what.

Clumpy Nape Naps - these stretch to the bottom of my neck. I started growing them out last year.

Your transition must be going smooth. Your hair looks great!! This is definitely inspiration for us transitioners.

Beautiful hair.. Good progress, very inspirational:grin:
Has the transition beed difficult? i'm new to the forum, I havent relaxed in 9 weeks, this is the longest ever, may be attempting a texlax going forward in the next 6 weeks or so still contemplating, going natural seems so difficult, but i love the end result. Once again your hair looks gorgeous:grin::grin:

It varies.

The hardest months were # 6/7 thru 9. It's was a weird phase and it felt like the two textures were battling each other to see who'd get to take over my head! I started transitoning before this, and at the end of month 7 I texlaxed out of frustration. :ohwell:

This time though, I knew that was coming, so my solution was to use protective styles like braids or weaves to get me through it. Now it's pretty easy. My shrinkage is crazy though, stretched my hair is about APL but you can see it's right about the shoulders even soaked in conditioner.

Then again, a long transition might not be for you :yep: In which case a big chop is always an option.

I'm loving the curls!
Are you going
to transition for two years?

I'm not sure...

I might chop around 18 months/August because I figure that will be more than enough hair for most styles. If I don't do it then, it'll probably be the New Years/2 Year mark. :yep: For some reason I love doing drastic things to my head in honor of the New Year. :lachen:

I wore braids w/o extensions for 2+ years until one new years I decided to take them all out randomly and then I relaxed.

My last texlax was right around new years...

I tried temporary dye...:lachen:
