Totally messed up my hair....

CO washing with the BB High Gloss was a mistake...I should have known from last Sunday because it really dried my hair out and then the loreal mega strength DC while moisturizing wasn't the best so I followed with Dove and then forgot to detangle....it was a disaster I tried to detangle with just water not like I usually do while rinsing out the DC as as result I pulled out one clump of hair about 6-7 strands thick. I had a lot of little breakage and hair coming out even after the ACV/Honey rinse. I drenched my hair in Fermodyl 619 applied phyto and it still felt weird..drier than normal. I finally grabbed some of the kids organic shea butter and once I put that on my hair felt better and I followed with castor oil to seal. I'm pissed at myself for damaging my hair with that detangling and the drying it out....I'm not going to use that high gloss conditioner again except maybe as a pre-poo with other moisturizing agents because my hair was jacked... I'm so mad at myself...I just lost so many hair's....:wallbash:. And I broke off a lot of them which is worse. I can't believe I did that.....:nono:

LLD~I feel your pain. At least now you know what your hair likes and dislikes. Just apologize to it and pray it forgives you!

thanks! yeah - true I figure this is an important learning experience. Don't detangle without conditioner in my hair - it's just too thick and don't fight a product that doesn't work! :perplexed

Hi *Luscious*Locked*Doc,

Sorry to hear about your mishap!

 From your post it seems like you are using MANY products (all in red) that are just not working for your hair- so just stop, clarify, and only apply products that your hair LOVES!

IMO, If your hair does not respond well to a product - just STOP using it entirely! I know it may seem like a waste of money, but just give it away - in the long run your hair will thank you!

Good luck, Curli

Yeah I know...I was trying out the Loreal which was my DC since I heard that it was pretty good....I put the dove in b/c my hair felt dry after the DC which is weird normally my hair feels pretty soft....I was just trying too much stuff last night!! Lol - I should have just done my regular CO and DC. Fermodyl and phyto are my leave in's....time tested and true. I have no excuse for the BB High Gloss I should have known better from last week....lol :nono:. I just put the moisturizer and sealed b/c after my leave-in's my hair still felt dry!!! It never feels that way...hmpf on Sunday I have my regular wash and I'm going back to my regular Keracare wash and DC...leave in and seal with silken seal...hahah and air-dry. I actually don't think that the Loreal is a bad product I just wasn't focused about how I was using it and I forgot to towel dry my hair before I applied it which is probably why it didn't penetrate properly.

If anybody wants the BB High Gloss they are welcome too it - it is an Ayverdic (spelling?) product which is why I thought it would be good....
