Thinking of ending my stretch

It is not that my hair has gotten hard to manage its just that I really want to treat myself for getting a promotion at my job.

Plus as some of you can relate to, I am anxious to see where I am progress wise, I know I have over 2 inches of NG in some spots and I want to see what it will look like now

Oh well, maybe its just one of those days........

I know how you feel I two months plus some days. I had to go get my roots blown out. My hair grew a lot. My SO was like wow.

I understand...
How long have you stretched so far?

I have reached 2.5 months. I normally used to relax every month to month and a half so I have gone super long for my standards.

I think I have caved, I wanted to make my stretch 3 months (then eval and maybe try to make 6 months) and I probably would wait the extra 2 weeks but this event is important and I want to look FRESH!

I dont think I am a stretch kind of girl. I think I will at least wait 8 weeks from now on though

I feel you. I was going to try to stretch longer myself (I'm at 13 weeks tomorrow), but I'll relax this weekend. My hair is getting harder to style, and I have a wedding to attend next Saturday. I'd just go ahead and flatiron it instead of relaxing, but I need to find a heat protectant that won't dry out my hair.:ohwell:

I think 13 weeks was still a good stretch for me. I usually go 11 or 12 weeks anyway. I have about 2 inches of NG and I'm excited to see the progress!

I think you should wait, you only have 2 weeks to go there is a lot of cools styles to rock for your event, think about it you are at 2.5 mth your goal was for 6 mths at least go half way you would feel great about it and you will have more new growth by then and you will see better progress, and furthermore you said you are not having problems handling the new growth, I say wait, I don't perm or anything so I don't know but the challenge you had set for yourself you should go half way at least but good luck with whatever you decide chica:)

Girl that sounds like a good stretch. Do what's best for you. You know better than anyone. I just completed a 14wk stretch but considered 16 wks. Then I thought how much more growth/healthy would two wks make. Roller setting 14wks ng twice a week was no joke. You'll be pleased with the results.

Congrats on your promotion! This hair thing can really test one's patience. Whatever you decide, good luck and shrare pics.:p

Congrats! :dance7:

I relaxed my hair last year when I was celebrating something. I wasn't as careful as I would have been if I hadn't been all amped up and excited.
