 I love you Mona. We need to talk about the Phyto. Did you notice that your hair isn't as straight as it used to be using Phyto? And judging from the shape my ends were in, that may be a good thing. :look:

Really, ya think so??

This is the straightest my hair has ever been while being healthy using Phyto - and my ends have been pretty cool (I get my ends checked for BabyGurl approval  )

I ain't switchin MovieStar -- ain't nuttin broke yet...so I ain't goin to try and fix it...not at this point anyway...I'm still TRYIN to get to where you already are:ohwell:

I think ya hair looks wonderful:D

Thanks girl. No I'm not thinking of switching, just tweaking. I love Phyto. But maybe I need index 2. Or just leave it on a little longer. Right now I do about 20 min total.

Hey girl it looks fine to me. A trim always helps matters fresh like a new start. When you finally decide to relax again with stretch your ends will probably reach BSL.

I know how you feel, but mine looked worse, it looks alot healthier now. I attributed mine to blowfrying! Rollersets are alot kinder to the hair...

The after pic made your hair even more gawgeous!!!!!! I  it. It's so beautiful, thick and shiny. Your ends look waaaaaaay better. Keep it up. That's how I want my hair to look when it grows up.

Your hair looks so wonderful. Really nice. I had a trim today too and though it hurt :( my hair looks much, much better now and I cant stop looking at it.

Don't worry it looks gorgeous and healthy. :)

Ok, here are the after pics. Not too bad. I could've trimmed some more off like another inch or 2, but I'll wait untill my toucjup. This looks soooo much better and I feel better too :D

That looks "marvelous, darling"! It is still wonderfully long and thick! I can't wait to get there!

Hey, I've been there before...not taking care of my hair. But you didn't have to trim as much as I thought you would. Your after is a lot longer that I thought it would be. It looks great, now just get back on track and try to stick with your regimen...

My hair is thin. I have fine strands but lots of them. DOn't let the pics deceive you. This is a result of not relaxing straight and stretching my relaxer. :)

That's how my hair is. I'm hoping my hair will start to look more like urs the longer it grows and the more I'm able to cut off the bone straight ends. I hate them! But right now they are adding a lot of length to my hair, so I'm not ready to part with them yet.

Your hair looks great btw!!!

good job army! You managed to keep the length while getting rid of the see thru ends. It looks wonderful! I thought u'd have to cut of way more than you did. Good job Mr ArmyQT!!!

YOUR HAIR LOOKS ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!

Put your siccors DOWN and do a happy :dance7: dance - you will be back at a full BSL by the New Year!

Great work, QT!

Your hair after the trim looks fab. I wish I could get my trims even like that. It looks soooo good! Your 5 months post so you will definitely be BSL again when you relax.

That looks much better and I know it feels healthier. Now you can concentrate on really babying those fresh cut ends. I've done this and it works. (Tip)...castor oil really helped my ends! Good luck!

Army,

I wish I'd seen your thread earlier. I would've recommended that you trim AFTER you relax. You are 5 months post and WOW, that's a long time. It's strange, but I have learned that the longer it's been since the last relaxer, the worse the ends look. It's because the hair is so thick at the roots that it "unstacks" the layers of hair. The ends are the most "unstacked" and so they look thinner. Then, when you relax again, your hair lays on itself including the ends and they look fuller.

Nevertheless, if you feel better and are happy with your fresh start then so am I.

Ahhhhhhhhhhh.....I didn't know you were using index 1. Yes, please give index 2 a try and report back....;)

WOW!! That's a wonderful theory. I was kinda thinking the same thing (not in your words exactly), but the little voice in my head got the best of me. I was really trying to hold out until my relaxer to see if that would help. But each day I would look and trim a little. It was driving me nuts. I'll definitely file this information away for the future. This makes so much sense. Thanks SG :)
