SO here it is. This is what has happened to my hair ladies. I've been trimming incessantly for the last few weeks trying to salvage any thing I could. But no matter how much I trim, it isn't enough. I'm about 5 months post right now and not really sure when I'll relax again. But here is the before.

I'll be back in a little bit with the after and the new beginning. :(

It looks very thick at the roots, though. Just trim a few inches ;) It may be APL when youre done but it will look good IMO

I think it looks nice and healthy, beside the ends. Once you do a good trim on those, you will be bsl before you know it. I can only wish my hair was that thick at the root. That is my prob now. The ends are thin, but I don't want to trim until it gets a lot thicker, because a trim would turn into a cut and I am not ready for a BC.:(

Ohh but your roots are beautiful and healthy!

I thought you said you had thin hair?!? It goes to show that we don't have thin hair just over-processed hair.

For years I thougth I had thin hair but after LHCF I don't believe that any more. My hair was just over-over-over-over-processed!

Your hair is beautiful!

If you trim about 1-2 inches you'll still have a head full of lovely hair AND you'll gain that lenght right back when you relax again :)

Ok, here are the after pics. Not too bad. I could've trimmed some more off like another inch or 2, but I'll wait untill my toucjup. This looks soooo much better and I feel better too :D

What happened?

Girl NOTHING happened. And when I say nothing I mean I did nothing to my hair pretty much all year  Except blowfry and flatiron more than I used to (about 2x a month, sometimes more).

And I didn't really do any type of protein conditioners or anything. Truth be told, I kinda think that what happened was inevitable with the relaxer. My hair is very fine and I'm not as gentle with it as I should be.

My hair is thin. I have fine strands but lots of them. DOn't let the pics deceive you. This is a result of not relaxing straight and stretching my relaxer. :)

Girl that's the TRUTH!! I always feel better after getting a trim. As a matter of fact, I'm going to start trimming more often. Maybe like once a month. This way I can deter this from happening again. I rarely wear my hair in styles and really didn't notice this until about a month ago. Any way, cest la vie. :D

Goodness your hair looks great Armyqt!! It looks thicker too! You really did a good job trimming. :yep::up:

Thanks but
Please that was almost a year ago plus I haven't trimmed since then and I haven't been wearing protective styles either for the past 3 or 4 mos. :perplexed

Fabulous!! That looks 100% better and when you relax again you'll be BSL :yep:

Your trim looks great! And what's weird is that it looks longer after the cut than before.

I must confess that my hair does the sam thing as yours with the thinner ends. My hair is fine but it ususally looks okay until you get near the ends. Your pics gave me the courage (at least momentarily) to get my New Year's trim in a few weeks

  You will feel so much better when you do. But I know how hard it can be. But you really do feel better. I've been slowly working my way up to it. Can't you see the big dramatics I have going on with this post :lachen: :lachen:. It takes nerve. But what I've learned is that my hair CAN grow long. SO I'm not worried about that. I just need to make sure it stays healthy. That is the most important thing.

BTW ladies, the hubby did the trim for me. :)

girl your hair looks great....it looks really thick at the roots and the trim did your hair wonders!
very nice, i cant see anything wrong with it at all! gorgeous!

LOOKS FABULOUS!!! Girl, how do you stretch for 5 months????? My hair is not even shoulder length yet and I would suffering from shedding and tangles if I went that long!! Good job with the trim! GO girl!

The trim looks great. I thought you'd lose a lot more than that.

Now, you better get back on your regimen because after a year of neglect it could be/should be a LOT worse.

 I know. I've been a real bad girl. But I've learned my lesson and I will not stray again. After I hit bra-strap, I got all brand new, swanging my hurr and thangs, feeling all special.......:lachen: :lachen: Now look at me :look: I'm back in the game. :p

Thanks for all of the support ladies. ;)
