Sorry Chica... I know that sucks. But at least now you know you can get to BSL.... You'll get back there in no time... Also, good thing you found out at BSL that you can't trust your stylist. Imagine if you went in there at MBL and you found out that she doesn't know a trim from a cut...

Your hair is shorter, but still nice, full and healthy. I'm am very sorry that happened to you. And yes, arguing about it, won't help. She'll just do the "nut role".. and keep it moving - especially after receiving that big tip of yours.

It doesn't seem you are a "slow grower", so i bet you'll be back posting your progress in less than 6 months.

im not sure if this will make you feel better - i remember being where you are on so many occasions until i made up my mind not to allow them to touch my hair with scissors, i cut my own hair now - that being said, your hair really looks great - it looks fuller and healthier so to me it looks like, and i am going by the pictures, cant tell what it is or was in person but it looks like she took off ends that didnt look as healthy as they could. i bet your hair will grow back faster this time, my mom always told me that not so healthy ends slow down your growth and i think she is right, i dont know how fast your hair normally grows, but if it grows at the average 1/2 inch per month, which from what i see from your picture would put you well in to bsl, and well on your way to mbl by the end of this year. chin up, and keep up the great work!!!

I'm so sorry this happened, chica! I can't tell you how many times I've been scalped by scissor happy stylists over the years. If I knew about this forum years ago, I'd have hair to my butt by now! Cheer up, and know that it will most def grow back. Your hair is beautiful, you have a fresh trim now, and I too think you will, like the other ladies said, make it to BSL by the end of the year.

Thanks again to Havilland for posting Traycee's K.I.S.S. link to the search and destroy method; I plan on doing that hardcore after I get my braids out since I've seen hairs in the natural portion of my hair sticking up a bit.

This really sucks! But you can probably get BSL before the year is up. Keep doing what you were doing to get there in the first place and you'll get it back in no time. I learned a long time ago not to let anyone else trim my hair but me. The only other person I let near my hair with shears is my mother and she lives 12 hrs away from me. Lol.

I can only imagine you put yr trust in a professional and not realize until much later much more was taken off then agreed! Luckily your hair will come back. That's right! Last year my stylist trimmed six inches off my hair. This was the only way he could even it.

I hate hearing about stuff like this which is why I stopped going to hair stylists. They''l cut your hair whether it needs it or not. Fight the perfectionist in yourself and trim your own hair!
