Terminal Illness, Cancer, and Dating

if someone is out in the dating world, is it fair for them to keep their illness a secret and not share that info right away?

also, just to throw this out there, should you be honest about your age?

I really don't know. Personally I'm upfront about an illness I have and share it when dating because it can affect the relationship. I think the person should do what they feel is best in terms of sharing things about themselves. Age is weird I don't share it and I feel like I don't care if I like someone. Although I tend not to like older men. :look:

it's only fair to share if you have a terminal illness. why would you not?

i have no problem sharing my age.. i wouldnt want to date a guy much younger than me anyway and most guys don't really care if you're older.

They may not want to share unless it was somebody close to them. I wouldn't go around telling just anybody that I had a serious illness and was going to die

If we are talking terminal illness it's not fair to keep that to yourself. :nono: If it were me I'd probably bring it up in the beginning and let the person decide if they want to be involved with me.
