Try not putting it inside the coloring book. Keep the book closed and just turn the crayon on and lay/move it around on the top of the front of the coloring book-on the little slit in the paper.

Interesting thread. Personally, I try and MAKE myself self-pleasure once a week. Due to meds and an emotional/spiritual disconnect, I'm often not in the mood unless I'm ovulating. But as someone who is trying to achieve long-term celibacy I feel that not releasing sexual tension on a regular basis would cause me to be...strange. LOL! I'm looking to get some toys, but I can do the job myself in under a minute, so I wonder how much investment that could be.

I find reading some erotica or looking at erotic pictures helps me get going. I don't want to say porn, because good erotica is not devoid of human emotion and respect like mainstream porn is. They often look and act like real couples having fun, and that's what relate to the most.

I've been coloring myself since I was at least 11. It's very natural and helpful.
The last guy that I was mutually sketching with was quite surprised after I basically had to help him out when sketching. Apparently he had been coloring and sketching with a bunch of females who did not engage in coloring solo therefore the experience was not as glowing and beneficial because of the inexperience of not knowing how one feels when one is colored on in certain places.
For further clarification, I still practice abstinence and am still a virgin. I hope that made sense. Sketching is not coloring but a prequel.

LOL, I've been thinking about it for a while, and it was in my cart for a minute.

I never experienced the LHCF effect and had no idea that such things would be flying off the shelves, especially because we are only at post 80 something. Clearly there have been a lot of ladies lurking, so I definitely know for next time.
