I use the conditioner and it works okay just like most other conditioners. I'm sure there's better stuff out there but so far I haven't found my holy grail.

Well, we went on a Pantene shopping spree yesterday. I got the Nature Infusion, Smooth Vitality, and I love it. It has just enough oil in it to smooth the cuticle and moisturizers to soften the hair. I also got the 5 min mask, Nat. Infus. Shampoo and Smoothing Creme.

I used to be sooo Pantened out. Way back in the day when I was 13 (i'm now 23) it made my hair stronger and longer than anything. It seriously stopped my breakage, but since they reformulated and all that (they even changed the scent which used to smell even better than it does right now) it just hasn't done the same thing for me. They made it more coney, and my hair can't tolerate too many cones.

I miss my old pantene in the white and red bottle. :(

i'm very interested in this new line, how did you like the smoothing creme?

I chose 'other' because my hair only loves the Relaxed & Natural Deep Penetrating conditioner mask...all the other stuff does nothing for my hair.

I'd be interested in trying this. The only Pantene products I've tried are their shampoos and conditioners and I'm not impressed with them.

I once told my stylist "My hair is sensitive to protein"

and having misheard me she replied "Now you know you shouldnt be using Pantene! I wrote a whole thing about it on Facebook."

to which I replied "not Pantene...PROTEIN" :lachen:

then the convo turned to our agreed assessment of my need to achieve protein-moisture balance in my hair.

but I always wondered....why is she so against Pantene? :perplexed

And I know someone mentioned cones. What are they and why are they so bad?

As usual....someone please enlighten me :yep:

I used to use Pantene all the time when I was relaxed. Usually the green line (Smooth and Sleek, which I guess has since undergone a name change?). It worked fine for me then, although I tended to prefer Frizz Ease products. I did love the Pantene daily leave-in (can't remember the exact name--had blue accents on the bottle)--I used that daily for years. And their flexible hold hair spray was pretty good.
I tried that relaxed and natural line and my hair hated it. Way too oily and heavy for me. Made my hair feel coated and stiff--I have really fine hair so that may have been a factor. Now I LOVED the John Frieda Relax line. I was so sad when that was discontinued. The daily moisturizer was awesome. For a while my whole product stash was John Frieda. I started getting into more natural stuff after joining LHCF and haven't ventured back to those lines.

I voted yes and while me and my hair love it, my scalp does not. I always have build up on my scalp after using the Relaxed and Natural conditioner.

I say yay and nay...they don't damage or dry out my hair, but they're nothing special either. Any ph balanced shampoo or conditioner will do the trick :yep:

I Love Pantene, especially the Leave in. I use both regular and R&N and have no complaints and I love the way it leave my hair smelling. I will NOT, repeat will NOT buy it from a BSS though , they got the nerve to be charging like 7 – 8 bucks per product!

I use the R&N mask which I loved and the time renewal is okay. I use to use the whole R&N line before the formula change. It's crap now. For some reason the mask is not working it's magic like before so I may have to change.

OT: If you read the ingredients on all of the conditioners you will find 95% them are the same product with different names.

Doesn't work for my hair. Gives me hair build-up.

This is interesting. When I was in college and was relaxed, I used a Pantene shampoo and conditioner and I distinctly recall hating how my hair...it felt coated, didn't hold a curl well...yuck.

It's 18 yrs later and I am natural and my hair could not live without Pantene. I use the Cassia shampoo and conditioner (sometimes switching 2 use Aussie moist...) It does what it is supposed to do on my hair.

Love it!

I used the relaxed and natural line during my freshman year in college. Compared to the previous shampoos I had used it did make my hair noticably softer but that wouldn't last but for a day or two. If I were to use it today I would probably see longer lasting results. I didn't know the importance of DCing and daily moisturizing. This was all during my pre LHCF days. *sigh* If I only knew then what I know now...! But I guess it's better late than never (even thogh I would probably be staring at BSL instead of this stubborn SL!)

I love the R&N line. I have used the intensive moisturizing shampoo, breakage defense conditioner, intensive moisturizing conditioner and the breakage defense deep conditioning mask. I just got the breakage defense conditioner on sale at Target for $3.

luv pantene--when i tell ppl i use it they looked perturbed
moisture renewal
long locks or something like that
hydrating curls

Yea I just used the moisture renewal conditioner today to cowash. It was just ok on the moisture part but it did make my curls POP and Im not even natural lol. Im 14 weeks post....
