From watching the vids on the Pantene contest page you'd think so.

Anybody use it and get great results?

I don't think half of those women really use the products.

Anyway, I absolutely love the Pantene Relaxed and Natural Deep Conditioning Mask when I deep condition. It gives me ultra slip. I also love the Breakage Defense conditioner, and the Pantene Hydrating Curls conditioner. I use them to cowash, and my curls are always popping and it leaves my hair pretty soft too.

I bought some of their products last year because it seemed affordable! I voted that it was alright. The conditioner worked okay, but it didn't get my hair as soft as some others! I haven't tried their relaxed and natural though. They didn't carry it where I was living at the time. Suave does a much better job, IMO. :yep:

I use the regular line and I love it. I haven't tried anything in the relaxed and natural line. I don't see too much of those products.

I love the 5-minute mask, the deep fortifying rinse off treatment, the split end moisturizer, and the silkener creme for rollersets.

I love this line and it works well for me. I like that it's always available at the drug store and nothing is over $10.

Oh, it smells great also.

I have been using Pantene since college - that's over 15 years. It works for me like no other line. It detangles well, makes it soft and gives it "swing." I found that other brands did not give me the effect I got from Pantene. I don't remember which line I used before Beautiful Lengths, but I have dabbled in the Relaxed and Naturals line. I noticed that it gave my hair a slightly heavier feel. So if I purchase R&N again, it will be to use when I am 7 weeks or more post relaxer. I have not tried the R&N Breakage Defense Mask, but I love the Pro-V Restoratives Replenishing Mask and the 5 Minute Strengthening Mask. I may start using more Pantene products since this brand works for me. Since joining LHCF, I have tried using other brand conditioners, two of which were nearly $15 each, but each time I returned to Pantene. What's the point in wasting money on more conditioners, only to return to what has proven to work for me? I'd rather spend the money on ingredients that enhance my products such as SAA, BTMS, and wheat protein. I love my Pantene!

I chose 'other' because my hair only loves the Relaxed & Natural Deep Penetrating conditioner mask...all the other stuff does nothing for my hair.

Their "clear" products suck on my hair. Pre-LHCF I used the relaxed and natural line and I liked it a lot!

I loved the Pantene R&N breakage defense mask before I started transitioning. I don't know how much my new growth likes it. I still have some, I might try it...

Yep, that's the idea!

I'm going to say "no" though. Pantene products are not great for the long-term health of your hair, but...

let's say someone already has healthy hair and healthy hair practices (which many of those contestants obviously do), then using Pantene probably won't hurt their hair but I'm sure it isn't helping them to achieve anything great

I'd say half of those women probably don't really have a Pantene regimen. They may use something occasionally, but chances are many of them were frontin' for the contest since it was a requirement to tell which products you "use."

and I guess someone might see an improvement in their hair if they went from having absolutely no regimen at all to a healthier regimen that incorporates Pantene products.

looks like i been sleepin on pantene. i prolly wont do a shampoo, but i'll try the r & n conditioner and mask first and see how that works. i am trying to KIS so being able to focus consistently on one line that is inexpensive would be great. thanks yall!

I like their conditioners and masks (not the R&N one...it has petrolatum in it). THe thing is, though, if you compare the labels from one line to labels from another line, the ingredients and their order are almost always identical. It got to a point where I felt they were making one product and packaging/marketing it to different groups.

There are some Pantene products out there that I love and work great for my hair.

We all know they're products are not going to work for everyone.

As far as the Relaxed and Natural line goes, I found that the Intensive Moisturizing Conditioner didn't really moisturize my hair as much as I would like. I find some of the Garnier Fructis products to be better.

But I use the shampoo for any day that I wash my hair. It lathers nicely and gets my scalp clean.

I love the Beautiful Lengths conditioner. I have the Natural Line (forget what it's called) shampoo which I use too before Henna treatments, it cleans my hair well so the henna penetrates.. I love Pantene (and Sunsilk :yep:) they are the ONLY two WalMart products I use!

Not for me... I bought Pantene R&N Moisturising conditioner and it's just ok BUT 2 of my friends LOVE how it makes their hair feel!

One of them loves the R&N range.... I have fine strands, they have thicker strands. I wonder if it has anything to do with that.

i use the pantene beautiful lengths conditioner, it makes my hair like butter!! don't care for the shampoo tho.

After reading these two posts I realized that I have a bottle of the Beautiful Lengths shampoo and conditioner in my closet that I never used. Used them today and I love the conditioner. The shampoo did its job, but the conditioner was really good. Can't believe they were in my closet unused. I'll be sure to work these items into my weekly rotation now.

I have used the Pantene Women of Color shampoo and conditioner. It made my hair dry. Didn't like it at all and won't buy it again.

I haven't used them in a while. I liked the relaxed and natural mask.

I heard that the shine you can get from it has to do with some kind of wax that over the long term locks out moisture. Anyone can confirm?

I like Pantene, and in fact, I'm using the nature fusion moisture balance conditioner.

I only buy regular products when I don't want to wait for shipping for my fave natural stuff. It smells really good.
