Braidouts have a way of turning against you sometimes. Most of the time mine are good on my relaxed hair. I could never make them work as a natural.

Maybe try a twist out using larger twists (8-12)? That always worked better for me.

Yea, sometimes my braidouts turn out like that too!!! I just laugh at my poor attempt, and throw it up in a bun! Keep working on it tho, practice makes perfect!

I am not natural but texlaxed. It took me a while to get the hang of doing braidouts myself. I have a couple of braidout albums on my blog complete with directions. I don't know if they might help. But you could take a look at them.
