I'm sure she is well intentioned, but remember that she has a vested interest in you getting chemicals (whether it's a texturizer OR a relaxer) cause that's money in HER pocket.
I agree and disagree w/ her. yes, u can have healthy, relaxed hair and u can have natural unhealthy hair. i feel it depends on how well u care for your hair. I never had a prob till I let a stylist do my hair....then it was unhealthy. To me, the stylist has her own agenda....how to keep u as one of her customers...Do yr thing. If u want natural hair, u go natural. We will support yr decision no matter what u do.
I agree with pretty much everything she told you.
And, speaking from my own experience, yes my natural hair is harder to "tame' or maintain. I think the word "taming" is used because curly hair is "wild" and when you think of something wild the word "tame" goes right along with it. I don't think she meant any harm. Curly hair is a LOT more work. I see it whenever I wear my hair curly.
